Going Green Essay
Going Green Lately the phrase "going green" has become a part of everyday discussion and debate.
People are being told to turn off the lights, buy energy–saving appliances, and drive less. What
people are not being told is why, specifically. Global warming is the increase of the Earth's
average temperature. Greenhouse gases are the cause of this problem; carbon dioxide, nitrogen
oxide and methane (1). Normally the earth's atmosphere lets these gases in but does not release all
of it. The excess gases keep the plant warm enough to sustain life. However over time, the
atmosphere has sustained damage from chemicals, like the ones released in fossil fuels, and now the
planet is heating up too much too fast. Even just a few degrees...show more content...
Most hybrids run use internal combustion engines and electrical motors (2). Internal combustion
engines require fuel to create a combustion reaction which powers the engine. An electric motor uses
electrical energy to produce mechanical energy which can then run the motor. An on–board
rechargeable energy storage system (RESS) stores enough energy, which is also rechargeable, to
run the electric motor (2). To lower fuel consumption, the RESS regenerates power, or energy,
through regenerative breaking or sometimes through the combustion engine. Regenerative
breaking uses some of the energy produced by the car when accelerating and stores it. This is why
hybrid cars cannot compete in the market for speed. In more modern models, a mechanism
allows for energy to be taken from the combustion engine to charge the cars battery or electrical
motor (2). In the sense of "going green", hybrids reduce idle emissions by shutting off the ICE
during idle times, like stop lights and traffic, and then restarting it when the car needs to move. A
smaller and more efficient engine also cuts back on power compared to large engines where all the
parts may not be used, but need to be powered, thus reducing emissions (2). Other benefits from
HEVs are noise–level reduction and air pollution. The goal of hybrid manufactures is to run vehicles
without the use of fuel. However, this is a new market and the

Green engineering is a much–needed approach to transform existing engineering disciplines and
practices to those that promote sustainability. The concept of sustainability is to develop and
implement technologically and economically viable products, processes, and systems that meet the
needs of humanity, while protecting the environment. Green engineering is governed by the
following principles:
Use the least amount of energy to achieve any given task....show more content...
Hydroelectric power plants are a long–standing renewable source.
The growing sources of energy production are solar and wind. Fossil fuels generate carbon dioxide
and large amounts of residues, such as fly ash and bottom ash. Philosophically, most of the energy
we are using came from the Sun.
For example, coal, oil, oil shale, and tar sand were produced over millions of years from forest
growth. If we could harness solar radiation, then most of the world's energy needs could be met. To
achieve this, the efficiency of solar cells has to be increased considerably. It is estimated that the
Sun provides about 120 quadrillion watts of energy daily, while worldwide consumption is about
13.5 trillion watts per year.
In the next paragraph I will present the proposed of solar panels for a small business in Dominican
Republic (Karina supermarket), which spends about 2160 kwh every month (0, 35 usd/kwh) $ 756
us monthly.
For this project we are going to use solar panel that contains 4 cells, and each of them can produce
0.45 volts and 100 milliamps, or 45 milliwatts. Each cell measures 2 inches by 0.5 inches. In other
words, with these solar cells you can generate 45 milliwatts in one square inch (6.45 square cm). For
the sake of discussion, let's assume that a panel can generate 70 milliwatts per square inch.
To calculate how many square inches of solar panel you need for a Supermarket, I need to know: *
How much power the supermarket consumes on

Mainly speaking, green building is an original way to construct building and houses so to use the:
tools and tools and materials most capably towards the environment. The green technology
definition, in simple words, it means the technology which is environmentally sociable, developed
and used in such a way so that it doesn't disturb our environment and conserves natural properties.

Green Energy
In the environment there are many concerns on how to make this a better place to live. One of the
biggest issues is our energy and power sources. Green energy is a term used for sources of power
and energy that are environmentally friendly. Basically this includes anything that is renewable
energy.Renewable energy is considered energy that is constantly being replaced such as wood,
vegetable matter, and trash. Green energy 's main focus is to use sources that can cut down on
pollution. Some of these sources of power and energy are Biomass energy, geothermal energy,
hydropower, nuclear energy, solar energy, wind energy and tidal energy. People hope that these will
help use more natural sources to produce energy. In several countries you...show more content...
Next time you get on your computer you can set up your computer to where the sleep mode is on
and also the hibernate comes on after thirty minutes. Another thing is taking control of the
temperature. During the winter you can set your thermostat at 68 degrees or less during the day
and 55 degrees at night before you go to sleep. During the summer you can set it at 78 degrees or
more. Also you can set your thermostat on your water heater between 120 and 130 degrees. The
only drawback with this one is you can take really long hot showers. So with all these information
you can decide if you are for or against green energy. I believe we should start doing something
about our environment before we are too late. I personally am for green energy. You don 't
necessarily have to go out get green energy as your electricity source but doing little can always
help our universe. The good green energy is that there are several sources of energy that we can
use and if using these types of energy help clean up our air pollution and atmosphere I 'm all for

The Benefits of Greening a City Essay
The Benefits of Greening a City
Sustainable development is a major world issue in recent development. Its main idea is to meet the
needs of present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs,
greening of cities is a very distinctive practice of this idea.
Practical measures include planting tress along road side, increase the greening area of the city like
increase the number and area of urban parks and perhaps country park too; setting law to restrict
environmental degradation such as the release of air pollution by cars, factories, also the treatment of
solid and liquid waste before discharge.
Having low cost for maintenance and replacing new things...show more content...
These alternative energy sources are cheap, clean and will not run out. Therefore the use of these
can lower the cost spend on energy.
With the improvement in environment, such as reduce in pollutants, increase in parks the living
standard of the city also increases. It makes the city a more desirable place to live in. This may in
turn increase the value to housing in the city and encourage investment from foreign companies and
increase the employment and income of its citizens. It also gives rise to the better development of
tourism industry.
However, the implementation is with several conditions applied. Government financial ability,
determination and efficiency are firstly needed to be satisfied. Planting trees along most of the roads
in the city is a large scale project and must be operated by the government. The greening policy may
involve disadvantages to some private commercial companies, thus a lot of opposition may be faced,
determination in comprising and convincing them in the benefits is very important.
Besides, the education level of its citizens should be high, so they have the knowledge and the
understanding to the importance of greening the city. With higher education standard they are more
susceptible to appreciate and focus on the long term benefits than the short time economical
disadvantages. Its citizens also need to have a high awareness of environmental

Green House Effect On Earth
Green House Effect: When sunlight reaches Earth 's surface some is absorbed and warms the
earth and most of the rest is radiated back to the atmosphere at a longer wavelength than the sun
light. Some of these longer wavelengths are absorbed by greenhouse gases in the atmosphere
before they are lost to space. The absorption of this long wave radiant energy warms the
atmosphere. These greenhouse gases act like a mirror and reflect back to the Earth some of the heat
energy which would otherwise be lost to space. The reflecting back of heat energy by the
atmosphere is called the "greenhouse effect". The major natural greenhouse gases are water vapor,
which causes about 36–70% of the greenhouse effect on Earth (not including clouds); carbon dioxide
CO2, which causes 9–26%; methane, which causes 4–9%, and ozone, which causes 3–7%. It is not
possible to state that a certain gas causes a certain percentage of the greenhouse effect, because the
influences of the various gases are not additive. Other greenhouse gases include, but are not limited
to, nitrous oxide, sulfur hexafluoride, hydrofluorocarbons, perfluorocarbons and
chlorofluorocarbons. Almost 100% of the observed temperature increase over the last 50 years has
been due to the increase in the atmosphere of greenhouse gas concentrations like water vapour,
carbon dioxide (CO2), methane and ozone. Greenhouse gases are those gases that contribute to the
greenhouse effect (Fig. 1). The largest contributing source of greenhouse gas

Essay about Renewable and Clean Energy
As these days global warming, pollutions and fuel shortages are getting more and more serious
through time, renewable and clean energy is increasingly the ideal solution to energy related
problems we have to solve one way or another. Biofuel is currently one of the mainstream and
highly supported solutions, an idea to make renewable fuel by living organisms such as fiber, corn,
vegetable oil or sugarcane. Biofuels, unlike nonrenewable fossil fuels over extracted by people,
contains the potential to tackle most of the problems people encounter when using fossil fuels. This
makes renewable fuels making it a cleaner source of energy, and a better option than fossil fuels that
will ran out shortly sooner or later. The two main categories in...show more content...
The second part of the essay will discuss some of the weaknesses in applying the fuel into
practical usage. For example, corn ethanol is currently encountering technical limitations serving it
as a standalone fuel, meaning that corn ethanol can only function by combining it with a certain
amount of gasoline, while gasoline is a kind of fossil fuel. Finally, this essay will conduct a
comparison with other renewable resources in the world, including solar power, other biofuels, and
hydrogen fuel. The most noticeable advantage of corn fuel as an enhancement of fossil fuels is
also the biggest advantage of ethanol energy a renewable fuel. Gasoline as a fuel is extracted from
petroleum, and what makes petroleum an unreliable source of energy is that petroleum is
nonrenewable, meaning it would run out some day in the future. Contrary, corn ethanol is a
renewable source of energy, meaning if corns are replanted and remade into fuel, corn ethanol can
be a long–term, sustainable energy source (gracelinks.org). Corn ethanol has the potential to produce
a perfect solution of the energy crisis that will happen sooner or later, as experts predicted petroleum
will run out in around fifty years (Gupta,p15). Another main benefit of corn fuel as the future fuel is
that the

Green Architecture Essay
Green Architecture is a method to reduce the impact on our environment by using natural resources
like energy, water, and the materials that are used in the structure recycled materials or the fixtures
used in the home with energy saving features, as well as making a healthier environment. With
high–efficiency windows and high value insulation in the walls and floors you're your energy would
take less too cool or heat up that area.
Written by BOB BOB BOB May 2010 "The history of a green building goes back further than the
70's in the middle of the industrial revolution that Henri Becquerel first witnessed the transformation
of solar energy into electrical energy. Around this time, the late 1800's to early 1900's, a number of

The use of fans, vents and blowers are used to distribute the heat in the areas that are needed when
a roof and walls are built they are made to be well insulated with the windows letting in heat the
insulation in the ceiling and walls absorb it and slowly letting off the heat. If an area is a little
bigger than sky lights or more windows are used to bring in more heat.
With the landscape of the outside in mind as well if you have plants that require more attention
then that cost more energy to take care of them. Think of plants that use less water conserving
energy will take less to heat or cool your home if you were to have an asphalt drive then it will put
off more heat making your use of air conditioning higher to keep the home cool use a natural source
of rock to lessen the energy in the home.
If you were to do your laundry or the main energy usage on a sunny or windy day your going to
have more energy to complete your entire task then you wouldn't be using your back energy to
complete them that is going require the most of your energy sources.
Making a home with multi function energy sources gives a wide variety of endless energy with all
of them combined it can easily give energy to a home. There is going to be sunny days for your
solar energy windy and rainy days for your energy as well so having all sources will make an easier
life for your home and less hectic.

Essay on Effects of Global Warming
Global Warming
Global warming is an increase in the temperature of the earth's weather. Global warming is also
known as the green house effect. Global warming is a very serious world issue. Most humans are
trying to do as much as they can to help stop global warming. Global warming has caused many
problems to the earth in addition to the humans that live here on the earth. A problem caused by
global warming is very hot summers. Some summers have had days that the temperature had
reached 30*C. Another Problem that global warming has caused is the melting of polar ice caps.
Global warming caused the polar ice caps to melt which will cause the ice to break free as well as
melt in the sea, sea levels all over the world will rise. Lastly,...show more content...
On days when it was too hot for the kids to go out their parents would tell them to stay inside the
house. When the kids have to stay inside the house the parents usually want it to stay quiet. So
the kids would probably sit on the computer, got to sleep otherwise watch TV. This affected the
kid's daily physical activity. To help stop global warming everyone should drive less take bikes, walk
or carpool whenever possible otherwise you could buy hybrid cars. On behalf of those who don't
know what carpooling is it is driving with someone to a place that you are both going to.
Second of all, global warming has caused the ozone layer to start to break. The ozone layer is a layer
that absorbs the rays of the sun. There is a very big hole in the ozone layer. The breaking of the
ozone layer has caused the suns rays to come down at the humans very sharp. The hole in the
ozone layer lets the UV enter the atmosphere; it can cause skin cancer, general cancer in addition
to many more diseases to humans. There's a list of things humans can do to help reduce global
warming including; plant a tree, carpool, take a shower instead of a bath, use less hot water, use
less hot water there is a lot more to this list.
Last but not least, global warming has caused the polar ice caps to melt. The melting of the polar ice
caps will cause the sea levels to rise all over the world. If the sea levels rise just a metre

Green Burial
Life has a cycle and death is inevitable. We all die. How we die and the choice of the body's
disposal is what sets up apart. It is easy to think the American way of death is the same for everyone
but that's far from the truth. There are many ways to create a meaningful send–off after one's death.
This include traditional burials, cremation and a growing practice, green burials.
For the past 150 years, American funerals have consisted of traditional burial practices which include
interment of the entire body with the use of embalming in impenetrable wood or metal caskets with
concrete vaults and liners (Harris, p.13). It involves the pumping of embalming fluid, mainly
formaldehyde, into to the body to slow decay (Harker 2012). The assumption...show more content...
Specifically, for Jewish or Muslim funeral traditions, green burial is an easy way to meet the
requirements of the individual canon law. Both of these religions reject embalming and encourage
the natural decomposition of the body. With the Muslim funeral rites including the washing of the
body, shrouding, funeral prayer, and burial (Campo, p.161). Similarly, the Jewish funerary rites
include the tahara which is the washing and shrouding of the body by a chevra kadhisha (Golbert,
p.56). One religion that green burials wouldn't be able to fit the requirements of a traditional funeral
is Christianity, that involves a viewing, a vigil, funeral mass and right to committal (Larson–Miller,
p.102–103). Even though, in terms of Christian belief and environmental concerns, it makes more
sense because it seems to honor the Old Testament verse in Genesis which says "from dust you are,
and to dust you shall return". It also makes the point that death is a natural process that involves
decay. The simplicity and authenticity it possesses are two of the many qualities that appeal to its
consumers (Chiu 2016). The Green burials allow for the decease to have a choice in the way that
they leave the earth and how they are remembered. Whether it's by reducing their carbon footprint,
rekindling one's relation to the earth or having and allowing

Going Green Essay
GOING GREEN BY RECYCLING Have you ever wanted to help the environment but you just
didn't know how? If you have, there are several easy ways that you can go green and still help the
environment. What does it mean to "go green?" It means to make choices that reduce, minimize, or
even attempt to reverse the negative impact of our actions on earth and its resources. Also, to find
ways to preclude human actions that contribute to the extinction of rare plants, and animals. Going
Green also means to recycle and find innovative ways to release the most common e–waste such as
computers, televisions, telephones, VCRs, stereos, copiers, and fax machines. In addition, going
green means addressing the causes of global warming and what can be done...show more content...
People throw these bags away anyways so why not just take a reusable bag that can be used
multiple times instead of only once. In addition, the plastic bags take a long time to decompose
so you are harming the environment. Instead of creating so much garbage, you can bring your
reusable bag to the store so that you can certify that you are one less person that is filling up our
landfills. The more people that reuse their items, the more safer the environment becomes, not
only for yourself but for everyone. After discussing reusing, we can discuss about reducing.
Reducing is another way to go green and help the environment. By reducing the way you utilize
your materials you create less garbage on the planet. One of the ways you can help is by avoiding
using materials such as paper plates, cups, forks and spoons because they create a lot of waste.
Instead of using these materials, you can use dishes that can be washed and reused. It does not
take very long to wash a couple of dishes. Eventually we are going to run out of a place to store
our garbage. Our landfills are already filling up rapidly so you can avoid contributing to the
overfilling. Another way of reducing is by avoiding wasting materials like paper. You should use all
materials wisely. These simple things can contribute a lot even though you may think that these
things are unnecessary. Our top priority right now should be to do everything

Green Earth Essay

  • 1. Going Green Essay Going Green Lately the phrase "going green" has become a part of everyday discussion and debate. People are being told to turn off the lights, buy energy–saving appliances, and drive less. What people are not being told is why, specifically. Global warming is the increase of the Earth's average temperature. Greenhouse gases are the cause of this problem; carbon dioxide, nitrogen oxide and methane (1). Normally the earth's atmosphere lets these gases in but does not release all of it. The excess gases keep the plant warm enough to sustain life. However over time, the atmosphere has sustained damage from chemicals, like the ones released in fossil fuels, and now the planet is heating up too much too fast. Even just a few degrees...show more content... Most hybrids run use internal combustion engines and electrical motors (2). Internal combustion engines require fuel to create a combustion reaction which powers the engine. An electric motor uses electrical energy to produce mechanical energy which can then run the motor. An on–board rechargeable energy storage system (RESS) stores enough energy, which is also rechargeable, to run the electric motor (2). To lower fuel consumption, the RESS regenerates power, or energy, through regenerative breaking or sometimes through the combustion engine. Regenerative breaking uses some of the energy produced by the car when accelerating and stores it. This is why hybrid cars cannot compete in the market for speed. In more modern models, a mechanism allows for energy to be taken from the combustion engine to charge the cars battery or electrical motor (2). In the sense of "going green", hybrids reduce idle emissions by shutting off the ICE during idle times, like stop lights and traffic, and then restarting it when the car needs to move. A smaller and more efficient engine also cuts back on power compared to large engines where all the parts may not be used, but need to be powered, thus reducing emissions (2). Other benefits from HEVs are noise–level reduction and air pollution. The goal of hybrid manufactures is to run vehicles without the use of fuel. However, this is a new market and the Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. Green Engineering Essay Date 11/17/11 | | Name: Manuel Tejada Activity: Sustainable Architectural Design Course: Materials and Processes (CD220) Instructor: Paul Debashis Green engineering is a much–needed approach to transform existing engineering disciplines and practices to those that promote sustainability. The concept of sustainability is to develop and implement technologically and economically viable products, processes, and systems that meet the needs of humanity, while protecting the environment. Green engineering is governed by the following principles: Use the least amount of energy to achieve any given task....show more content... Hydroelectric power plants are a long–standing renewable source. The growing sources of energy production are solar and wind. Fossil fuels generate carbon dioxide and large amounts of residues, such as fly ash and bottom ash. Philosophically, most of the energy we are using came from the Sun. For example, coal, oil, oil shale, and tar sand were produced over millions of years from forest growth. If we could harness solar radiation, then most of the world's energy needs could be met. To achieve this, the efficiency of solar cells has to be increased considerably. It is estimated that the Sun provides about 120 quadrillion watts of energy daily, while worldwide consumption is about 13.5 trillion watts per year. In the next paragraph I will present the proposed of solar panels for a small business in Dominican Republic (Karina supermarket), which spends about 2160 kwh every month (0, 35 usd/kwh) $ 756 us monthly. For this project we are going to use solar panel that contains 4 cells, and each of them can produce 0.45 volts and 100 milliamps, or 45 milliwatts. Each cell measures 2 inches by 0.5 inches. In other words, with these solar cells you can generate 45 milliwatts in one square inch (6.45 square cm). For the sake of discussion, let's assume that a panel can generate 70 milliwatts per square inch. To calculate how many square inches of solar panel you need for a Supermarket, I need to know: * How much power the supermarket consumes on Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 4. Green Energy In the environment there are many concerns on how to make this a better place to live. One of the biggest issues is our energy and power sources. Green energy is a term used for sources of power and energy that are environmentally friendly. Basically this includes anything that is renewable energy.Renewable energy is considered energy that is constantly being replaced such as wood, vegetable matter, and trash. Green energy 's main focus is to use sources that can cut down on pollution. Some of these sources of power and energy are Biomass energy, geothermal energy, hydropower, nuclear energy, solar energy, wind energy and tidal energy. People hope that these will help use more natural sources to produce energy. In several countries you...show more content... During the winter you can set your thermostat at 68 degrees or less during the day and 55 degrees at night before you go to sleep. During the summer you can set it at 78 degrees or more. Also you can set your thermostat on your water heater between 120 and 130 degrees. The only drawback with this one is you can take really long hot showers. So with all these information you can decide if you are for or against green energy. I believe we should start doing something about our environment before we are too late. I personally am for green energy. You don 't necessarily have to go out get green energy as your electricity source but doing little can always help our universe. The good green energy is that there are several sources of energy that we can use and if using these types of energy help clean up our air pollution and atmosphere I 'm all for Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. The Benefits of Greening a City Essay The Benefits of Greening a City Sustainable development is a major world issue in recent development. Its main idea is to meet the needs of present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs, greening of cities is a very distinctive practice of this idea. Practical measures include planting tress along road side, increase the greening area of the city like increase the number and area of urban parks and perhaps country park too; setting law to restrict environmental degradation such as the release of air pollution by cars, factories, also the treatment of solid and liquid waste before discharge. Having low cost for maintenance and replacing new things...show more content... These alternative energy sources are cheap, clean and will not run out. Therefore the use of these can lower the cost spend on energy. With the improvement in environment, such as reduce in pollutants, increase in parks the living standard of the city also increases. It makes the city a more desirable place to live in. This may in turn increase the value to housing in the city and encourage investment from foreign companies and increase the employment and income of its citizens. It also gives rise to the better development of tourism industry. However, the implementation is with several conditions applied. Government financial ability, determination and efficiency are firstly needed to be satisfied. Planting trees along most of the roads in the city is a large scale project and must be operated by the government. The greening policy may involve disadvantages to some private commercial companies, thus a lot of opposition may be faced, determination in comprising and convincing them in the benefits is very important. Besides, the education level of its citizens should be high, so they have the knowledge and the understanding to the importance of greening the city. With higher education standard they are more susceptible to appreciate and focus on the long term benefits than the short time economical disadvantages. Its citizens also need to have a high awareness of environmental Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. Green House Effect On Earth Green House Effect: When sunlight reaches Earth 's surface some is absorbed and warms the earth and most of the rest is radiated back to the atmosphere at a longer wavelength than the sun light. Some of these longer wavelengths are absorbed by greenhouse gases in the atmosphere before they are lost to space. The absorption of this long wave radiant energy warms the atmosphere. These greenhouse gases act like a mirror and reflect back to the Earth some of the heat energy which would otherwise be lost to space. The reflecting back of heat energy by the atmosphere is called the "greenhouse effect". The major natural greenhouse gases are water vapor, which causes about 36–70% of the greenhouse effect on Earth (not including clouds); carbon dioxide CO2, which causes 9–26%; methane, which causes 4–9%, and ozone, which causes 3–7%. It is not possible to state that a certain gas causes a certain percentage of the greenhouse effect, because the influences of the various gases are not additive. Other greenhouse gases include, but are not limited to, nitrous oxide, sulfur hexafluoride, hydrofluorocarbons, perfluorocarbons and chlorofluorocarbons. Almost 100% of the observed temperature increase over the last 50 years has been due to the increase in the atmosphere of greenhouse gas concentrations like water vapour, carbon dioxide (CO2), methane and ozone. Greenhouse gases are those gases that contribute to the greenhouse effect (Fig. 1). The largest contributing source of greenhouse gas Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 7. Essay about Renewable and Clean Energy As these days global warming, pollutions and fuel shortages are getting more and more serious through time, renewable and clean energy is increasingly the ideal solution to energy related problems we have to solve one way or another. Biofuel is currently one of the mainstream and highly supported solutions, an idea to make renewable fuel by living organisms such as fiber, corn, vegetable oil or sugarcane. Biofuels, unlike nonrenewable fossil fuels over extracted by people, contains the potential to tackle most of the problems people encounter when using fossil fuels. This makes renewable fuels making it a cleaner source of energy, and a better option than fossil fuels that will ran out shortly sooner or later. The two main categories in...show more content... The second part of the essay will discuss some of the weaknesses in applying the fuel into practical usage. For example, corn ethanol is currently encountering technical limitations serving it as a standalone fuel, meaning that corn ethanol can only function by combining it with a certain amount of gasoline, while gasoline is a kind of fossil fuel. Finally, this essay will conduct a comparison with other renewable resources in the world, including solar power, other biofuels, and hydrogen fuel. The most noticeable advantage of corn fuel as an enhancement of fossil fuels is also the biggest advantage of ethanol energy a renewable fuel. Gasoline as a fuel is extracted from petroleum, and what makes petroleum an unreliable source of energy is that petroleum is nonrenewable, meaning it would run out some day in the future. Contrary, corn ethanol is a renewable source of energy, meaning if corns are replanted and remade into fuel, corn ethanol can be a long–term, sustainable energy source (gracelinks.org). Corn ethanol has the potential to produce a perfect solution of the energy crisis that will happen sooner or later, as experts predicted petroleum will run out in around fifty years (Gupta,p15). Another main benefit of corn fuel as the future fuel is that the Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Green Architecture Essay Green Architecture is a method to reduce the impact on our environment by using natural resources like energy, water, and the materials that are used in the structure recycled materials or the fixtures used in the home with energy saving features, as well as making a healthier environment. With high–efficiency windows and high value insulation in the walls and floors you're your energy would take less too cool or heat up that area. Written by BOB BOB BOB May 2010 "The history of a green building goes back further than the 70's in the middle of the industrial revolution that Henri Becquerel first witnessed the transformation of solar energy into electrical energy. The use of fans, vents and blowers are used to distribute the heat in the areas that are needed when a roof and walls are built they are made to be well insulated with the windows letting in heat the insulation in the ceiling and walls absorb it and slowly letting off the heat. If an area is a little bigger than sky lights or more windows are used to bring in more heat. With the landscape of the outside in mind as well if you have plants that require more attention then that cost more energy to take care of them. Think of plants that use less water conserving energy will take less to heat or cool your home if you were to have an asphalt drive then it will put off more heat making your use of air conditioning higher to keep the home cool use a natural source of rock to lessen the energy in the home. If you were to do your laundry or the main energy usage on a sunny or windy day your going to have more energy to complete your entire task then you wouldn't be using your back energy to complete them that is going require the most of your energy sources. Making a home with multi function energy sources gives a wide variety of endless energy with all of them combined it can easily give energy to a home. There is going to be sunny days for your solar energy windy and rainy days for your energy as well so having all sources will make an easier life for your home and less hectic. • 9. Essay on Effects of Global Warming Global Warming Global warming is an increase in the temperature of the earth's weather. Global warming is also known as the green house effect. Global warming is a very serious world issue. Most humans are trying to do as much as they can to help stop global warming. Global warming has caused many problems to the earth in addition to the humans that live here on the earth. A problem caused by global warming is very hot summers. Some summers have had days that the temperature had reached 30*C. Another Problem that global warming has caused is the melting of polar ice caps. Global warming caused the polar ice caps to melt which will cause the ice to break free as well as melt in the sea, sea levels all over the world will rise. Lastly,...show more content... So the kids would probably sit on the computer, got to sleep otherwise watch TV. This affected the kid's daily physical activity. To help stop global warming everyone should drive less take bikes, walk or carpool whenever possible otherwise you could buy hybrid cars. On behalf of those who don't know what carpooling is it is driving with someone to a place that you are both going to. Second of all, global warming has caused the ozone layer to start to break. The ozone layer is a layer that absorbs the rays of the sun. There is a very big hole in the ozone layer. The breaking of the ozone layer has caused the suns rays to come down at the humans very sharp. The hole in the ozone layer lets the UV enter the atmosphere; it can cause skin cancer, general cancer in addition to many more diseases to humans. There's a list of things humans can do to help reduce global warming including; plant a tree, carpool, take a shower instead of a bath, use less hot water, use less hot water there is a lot more to this list. Last but not least, global warming has caused the polar ice caps to melt. The melting of the polar ice caps will cause the sea levels to rise all over the world. • 10. Green Burial Life has a cycle and death is inevitable. We all die. How we die and the choice of the body's disposal is what sets up apart. It is easy to think the American way of death is the same for everyone but that's far from the truth. There are many ways to create a meaningful send–off after one's death. This include traditional burials, cremation and a growing practice, green burials. For the past 150 years, American funerals have consisted of traditional burial practices which include interment of the entire body with the use of embalming in impenetrable wood or metal caskets with concrete vaults and liners (Harris, p.13). It involves the pumping of embalming fluid, mainly formaldehyde, into to the body to slow decay (Harker 2012). The assumption...show more content... Specifically, for Jewish or Muslim funeral traditions, green burial is an easy way to meet the requirements of the individual canon law. Both of these religions reject embalming and encourage the natural decomposition of the body. With the Muslim funeral rites including the washing of the body, shrouding, funeral prayer, and burial (Campo, p.161). Similarly, the Jewish funerary rites include the tahara which is the washing and shrouding of the body by a chevra kadhisha (Golbert, p.56). One religion that green burials wouldn't be able to fit the requirements of a traditional funeral is Christianity, that involves a viewing, a vigil, funeral mass and right to committal (Larson–Miller, p.102–103). Even though, in terms of Christian belief and environmental concerns, it makes more sense because it seems to honor the Old Testament verse in Genesis which says "from dust you are, and to dust you shall return". It also makes the point that death is a natural process that involves decay. The simplicity and authenticity it possesses are two of the many qualities that appeal to its consumers (Chiu 2016). The Green burials allow for the decease to have a choice in the way that they leave the earth and how they are remembered. If you have, there are several easy ways that you can go green and still help the environment. What does it mean to "go green?" It means to make choices that reduce, minimize, or even attempt to reverse the negative impact of our actions on earth and its resources. Also, to find ways to preclude human actions that contribute to the extinction of rare plants, and animals. Going Green also means to recycle and find innovative ways to release the most common e–waste such as computers, televisions, telephones, VCRs, stereos, copiers, and fax machines. In addition, going green means addressing the causes of global warming and what can be done...show more content... People throw these bags away anyways so why not just take a reusable bag that can be used multiple times instead of only once. In addition, the plastic bags take a long time to decompose so you are harming the environment. Instead of creating so much garbage, you can bring your reusable bag to the store so that you can certify that you are one less person that is filling up our landfills. The more people that reuse their items, the more safer the environment becomes, not only for yourself but for everyone. After discussing reusing, we can discuss about reducing. Reducing is another way to go green and help the environment. By reducing the way you utilize your materials you create less garbage on the planet. One of the ways you can help is by avoiding using materials such as paper plates, cups, forks and spoons because they create a lot of waste. Instead of using these materials, you can use dishes that can be washed and reused. It does not take very long to wash a couple of dishes. Eventually we are going to run out of a place to store our garbage. Our landfills are already filling up rapidly so you can avoid contributing to the overfilling. Another way of reducing is by avoiding wasting materials like paper. You should use all materials wisely. These simple things can contribute a lot even though you may think that these things are unnecessary. Our top priority right now should be to do everything Get more content on HelpWriting.net
