History
o Hero MotoCorp Ltd., formerly Hero Honda, is an Indian motorcycle and scooter manufacturer based in
New Delhi, India.
o Hero Honda started in 1984 as a joint venture between Hero Cycles of India and Honda of Japan.
o Largest two wheeler manufacturer in India.
o In 2010 Honda decided to move out of the joint venture, Hero Group bought the shares held by Honda.
o August 2011 the company was renamed Hero MotoCorp with a new corporate identity.
o On June 4, 2012 Hero MotoCorp approved a proposal to merge the investment arm of its parent Hero
Investment Pvt. Ltd. into the automaker. The decision comes after 18 months of its split from Honda
Motors.

Hero Honda iconic ‘ The Nations heart beat’ Campain and my fathers splender bike are the
inspirations for this internship. My childhood made a lot of emotion and attachments
towards the company The bike allowed the freedom, excitement and trust throughout my
life. Today as an MBA student I want to know why Hero Honda separated and how
infrastructure deals with the customer. Throughout my experience Hero is no longer
dependent on foreign expertise for its brands it will be focussing an its own engineering
and service capabilities.
Objectives
o To get a general awareness regarding the functioning and management
by direct observation.
o To study the various department and their functions of the organization.
o To know about the roles of manager in various organization
departments.
o To clear about the achievements and objectives of the organization.
o To develop an understanding on the internal strength, weakness,
external threats and opportunities around.

History o Hero MotoCorp Ltd., formerly Hero Honda, is an Indian motorcycle and scooter manufacturer based in New Delhi, India. o Hero Honda started in 1984 as a joint venture between Hero Cycles of India and Honda of Japan. o Largest two wheeler manufacturer in India. o In 2010 Honda decided to move out of the joint venture, Hero Group bought the shares held by Honda. o August 2011 the company was renamed Hero MotoCorp with a new corporate identity. o On June 4, 2012 Hero MotoCorp approved a proposal to merge the investment arm of its parent Hero Investment Pvt. My childhood made a lot of emotion and attachments towards the company The bike allowed the freedom, excitement and trust throughout my life. Today as an MBA student I want to know why Hero Honda separated and how infrastructure deals with the customer. Throughout my experience Hero is no longer dependent on foreign expertise for its brands it will be focussing an its own engineering and service capabilities.
