1 introduction
I will talk in this chapter about my company field "CFP". In the begging I will give a short of
review about CFP, than I'm going to describe this report. In addition I'm going to tell the reasons
that make me to choose the municipality to do my CFP
1.1 General Overview about my Company Field Practice
My company field practice was in Khamis mushait municipality. All Technical Trainers College
student must finish pass the CFP before graduating .in order to get engineering Bachelor
degree ,you have to finish twelve weeks of training.
My first Company field practice started in 8 june2014. In these sex weeks of training I learned a
lot of things.
1.2 Description of the company
Khamis Mushait municipality location is in south west Saudi Arabia. It provides serves to many
of town and villages in south west Saudi Arabia. There is a bag IT department in khamis mushait
municipality. The IT department in khamis mushait municipality is responsible for a lot of jobs for
example it responsible for connecting all branches of khamis mushait municipality together by
using reliable computer network, also it's responsible for updating the khamis mushait
municipality website. The IT department in khamis mushait municipality has many qualified for
computer technician and engineers who able to deal with network problems, also they do
computer main tenses and make computer network configuration. I chose to do my company
field practice in khamis mushait municipality because of there is under fall Work environment to
practice what learned in college, in addition there are many of Collaborator staff that help me to
improve my computer skills.
1.3 Information about my department.
Information technology department in khamis mushait municipality is one of important
department in the municipality .It department is responsible for anything that related to computer
network and software. The head of the information technology department is Eng. Mubarak
Jobran Al Shahrani. He is very cooperate man and he always tries to explain anything before I
start doing yet. He is very careful man and he always makes sure I understand everything be for
doing yet. He sends me to different branches in order to make me understand all IT department
responsibilities. Relay l got burnet when I was working in IT department in khamis mushait
municipality.

practice.
3 Reflection and conclusion
I learned many of good things when I was in khamis mushait municipality,for example: I learned
how to cooperate with other colleges in working in filament .I Applied a lot of skills that I learned
in technical trainers college. Also I learned how to deal with costumers and how to respect work
system. I developed my networking skills when I was there, for example I met a lot of network
cables. I understood when I have to use straight cable and cross cable .should use the straight
cables when I want to connect two different network devices, but I should use cross cable when
I want to connect two similar network devices. Also I understood that I should use console cable
when I want configure new switch. I dialed with many switches such as cisco and hp. I expected
all switches are the same, but I understand that the cisco switches provide more options than
hp. For example: cisco switches have vtp and vlan,but hp switches doesn't have that.
My six week of company field practice that I spent in khamis mushait municipality was fanny
interesting. The three weeks that before Ramadhan passed very quickly, but other three weeks
went very slowly because of Ramadhan. I didn't pass any problem during my company field
practice because many reasons: first, the head of it department was very cooperative and he
explained me the problem before I solve it. Second, there was one Egyptian technical he always
goes with me anywhere and he always observes what I do.
4 Recommendations for future CFP
It is better to have the Company Field Practice in two different places. Company Field Practice
Focuses to get Benefits Practice and it is not just attendance.
