  1. 1. The capital and largest city of Nepal is known as Kathmandu. Kathmandu is now a main city for independent tourists as well as a growing vacation spot catering to all budgets. It is also the sensors middle of the nation's economic system. It has the most innovative facilities of any town place in Nepal and its economic system is targeted on travel and leisure.
  2. 2. Get in By plane: Tribhuvan International Airport is the Kathmandu's international airport. The code of airport is KTM. It is the biggest and only international airport in Nepal country. It is situated 5.5km far from city centre. By bus: Cheap bus services are available in Kathmandu Nepal but buses speed are very slow due to poor roads.
  3. 3. Get around By foot: You can visit in Kathmandu city by foot, but it is not always an enjoyable walk & you may want to public transportation for particular place. By rickshaw or taxi: Rickshaws and taxi can be found around the tourist area of Thamel. Taxis are easy to get nearby all major streets & have fare-meters. For long trips you can hire a taxi by the day negotiate with the driver. If you are not satisfied, you can change another driver.
  4. 4. Things to do in Kathmandu It is one of the most sacred Buddhist temple in this country. It is located on a hill. The base of the hill is a 30 minute walk from Thamel. As with the Boudha Stupa, are a lot of Buddhist and Tibetan-inspired ornaments for sale? There are also beverages on the market at the top, and at least one small cafe promoting momos.   5. 5. Narayanhiti Palace Museum This is the former Royal palace which was converted partially into Museum and partially into the Foreign Ministry after the abolition of the monarchy during 2009. Now you can visit the wonderful Places of the main building of the palace. Massive fruits softball bats clinging from the high plants and 20 foot- tall bamboo bedding around the otherwise contemporary former palace are a vision, especially around sundown when the bats leave en masse.
  6. 6. Kathmandu Durbar Square It is one of the famous temples in Kathmandu Durbar Square and contains the beautiful shrines of Shiva and Parvati. This historical square is populated with palaces and temples. The Square is particularly amazing in the very beginning morning hours as all the various suppliers set up their wares and when many enthusiasts create their promotions at the various shrines and temples.
  7. 7. Hanuman Dhoka Palace The name of the Palace of the Kings of Nepal is known as Hanuman Dhoka. Hanuman means the monkey God and relate of Lord Rama and Dhoka means Door in Nepali.
  8. 8. Thamel Thamel is loud and can be a little bit hassle. It has many dining places, cafes, bars, markets and booth. The place is very useful for wandering into the mature areas of Kathmandu, too.
  9. 9. Taleju temple Taleju temple is a three- roofed temple that was designed by King Mahendra Malla in 1564. The structure, however, is common Newari. Taleju, actually, was a Newari version of Goddess Durga. Durga is the most well- known version of Devi and one of the primary types of the Goddess Shakti in the Hindu pantheon.
  10. 10. Budhanilkantha Temple Budhanilakantha is located about 8 km north of Kathmandu at the base of Shivapuri Hill. It is an amazing enormous statue of Lord Vishnu positioned on the bed of snakes and floating in the water. It is also a popular place of pilgrimage for Hindus.
  11. 11. Changu Narayan Temple Changu Narayan Temple is located about 18km from Kathmandu in the Kathmandu Valley. Changu is in the Bhaptapur District and it is the main attraction in Bhaptapur.

  15. 15. Best time to visit KathmanduIf you want to go in Kathmandu city, September through end November are the best months for tourists because at this time weather is best for tourists. Avoid May and the early part of June due to extremely hot and dusty.
