the Delhi – Trivandrum route.

from the city centre near to Renigunta. Flights to Tirupati are
available from major metropolia like Chennai,
Visakhapatnam, Bangalore and Hyderabad.

Chandragiri is famous for the historical fort, built in the 11th
century, and the Raja Mahal (Palace) within it.
Chandragiri was under the rule of Yadava Naidus for about
three centuries and came into control of Vijayanagar rulers
in 1367.
Chandragiri was the 4th capital of Vijayanagar Empire. In
1646, the fort was annexed to the Golkonda territory and
subsequently came under Mysore rule.
The Raja Mahal Palace is now an archaeological museum.
The palace is an example of Indo-Sarcen architecture of
Vijayanagar period. The crowning towers represents the
Hindu architectural elements. The palace was constructed
using stone, brick, lime mortar and devoid of timbe

Flowers to the all the temples in Tirupati are supplied
from this garden.
They have an annual horticulture show and Pushpa
Yagnam wherein exotic flowers are displyed for the
visitors.

Established in 1987, Tirupati Zoo or Sri Venkateswara
Zoological Park.
Asia's Second largest Zoo with an area of 5500 acres.
It is built on the concept of Hindhu Mythology. It exhibits
only animals that are mentioned in our ancient epics like
Ramayana, Mahabharatha, Panchatantra.
It hosts variety of birds, animals.

22. SRI VENKATESWARA NATIONAL PARK
Sri Venkateshwara National Park is a national park and
biosphere reserve in Andhra Pradesh, India.
The total area of the park is 353 km2.
The park is known for its many waterfalls including the Talakona,
Gundalakona and Gunjana.
As the government of India declared the Seshachalam Hills as
one of the biosphere reserves of India in 2010, this national park
becomes the part of it.
About 178 species of birds from this national park have been
identified. The globally threatened yellow-throated bulbul is seen
here. grey-fronted green pigeon.
Among predators the leopard is quite common, along with the
wild dog. Sloth bear is frequently encountered. Sambar, spotted
deer, mouse deer, barking deer, four-horned antelope and wild
boar are the main ungulates.
