OBJECTIVE
My Objective is to pursue a career as a fashion
stylist/anything fashion, with and agency that offers
opportunities for growth and advancement. I want to utilize
my extensive knowledge to the fullest potential. My resume
highlights my current skills, past work experience and
educational accomplishments .As an employee I’m easily
adaptable to different environment’s am very enthusiastic
and a hard worker willing to learn as much as I can and
dedicate myself 100% in achieving my ultimate goal as a
fashion stylist.
PROFILE
I love the fashion industry. I have grown up surrounded by
fashion, my grandmother was a dressmaker and both my
parents have been involved in retail fashion. I love to
‘workshop’ outfits and create my look based on what’s ‘en
vogue’. I have designed and made my own garments also
which has been a great experience and have entering them
in competitions.
My fashion career started back when I was 16 at my first
retail job working at a store called Sebachi, it was here that I
had my first taste of the fashion retail industry. After
Sebachi closed down I was very fortunate to find a job
working for Esprit in Both the kids and the women store,
which was an amazing experience and I fell that I gained a
lot of retail knowledge from working for such a big
company, being that the exceptions were much higher, It
was at Esprit that I discovered my love for merchandising
and styling and was also heavily involved in marketing and
promotion, loving the idea of creating a environment for
costumers that reflected the current season. One of the
greatest rewards of working in retail is sharing my passion
with customers and being able to help them.
After grade twelve I was very fortunate to have the
opportunity to travel around Europe, in this time I got the
chance to see the fashion industry in a whole new light. It
has given so much enthusiasm to pursue fashion in my
future and I am very motivated to bring new ideas to the
table.
My most recent retail position was at Forever new on the
sunshine coast Queensland, Australia; I worked there for the
three years and half years before moving overseas to write
my thesis in management. At Forever new I was responsible
for the merchandising and marketing within the store and
would have to say its really opened my eyes up to the world
of styling, and having that one on one service with
customers to created the perfect outfit for whatever
occasion. I think the seed that was planted at esprit has
really blossomed at Forever New and I have realized that
styling and merchandising is my true passion and I want to
be in this industry, styling people for the rest of my life and
will do what ever it take to reach my goal.
I am also currently doing hair and make up for weddings,
which have given me the opportunity to work along side
photographers, which has been an amazing experience and
has helped me gain further organization and planning skills.
I am a happy person who enjoys working with people and I
take pride in everything I set out to do. I am eager to learn,
dedicated, punctual and trustworthy. Outside of work I enjoy
yoga, music, friends, family, and have course anything to do
with Fashion!
