Assignment 1
Task 1a – some very nice detail, but add info on where HMV is today, plus images of shops.
Task 1b – good detail but you need to add more analysis of advert, why does it work? What actually
happens? How do you know sales went up? And is the logo strong enough to not need a slogan?
Task 1d – to get a higher grade you need to add more detail to your chosen artists – images, history and
key albums.
Assignment 2 –
To get a higher grade you need to detail on the tools you will be using to create your print production - the
software and printing technique you will use.
Add detail on why the chosen bands will help promote HMV
Detail on choices for HMV and the design software outlined. For a higher grade the print technique needs
to be identified and more detail to which tools might be used in the design stage.
Assignment 4 –
To get a higher grade you need to add more detail to your evaluation. Why did you make the decisions you
did? What affect did you want to have on your audience? Don’t ‘just tell me the how, I need the why.

To get a Distinction for this unit you need to add work to Assignment 2 and 4.
