My name is Gordon Dale and I over see the development and management of healthcare
software products for Keane, Inc. Keane employs over 10,000 employees in the United States
and India. I recently had the opportunity to manage an offshore project with a team of
engineers based in India. Our objective was to transform existing legacy software used in
physician’s offices and clinics into a web enabled browser based product.
Murali Kannan Vellaichamy was assigned to the United States for approximately six months as
our on-site Project Manager. His responsibilities included extensive training of the existing
software application, re-design, functional specifications, Java thin client development and the
communications and knowledge transfer to the offshore India team.
Delivery and completion of this software product was time critical and fast paced leaving little
room for error. Although this project presented many challenges, Murali far exceeded all my
expectations and his dedication and hard work was recognized from start to end. Murali
possess the ability to gather and analyze information to solve problems and provide innovative
solutions. He has great management and leadership skills and his work ethic commands
respect and accomplishment from his co-workers and team. His technical ability enabled him
to adapt quickly to new product and technology and was always enthusiastic and eager to
develop skill and resourcefulness throughout the team. Murali worked many long and tiring
days, but was always friendly and professional.
It was a pleasure working with Murali on this project, his creativeness and hard work
contributed to a successful on-time completion.
I am confident that Murali would be an invaluable asset to any technical project requiring a vast
