My Work Experiences
(Program) Director Technology – Games Management Systems Jun 09 – Apr 10
Organising Committee of Commonwealth Games 2010 Delhi, New Delhi
I was primarily responsible for leading my team of Games Management Systems (GMS)
Program Area in forming of policies and procedures, identification, requirement
analysis, delivery strategy, scoping, procurement and management of delivery,
commissioning, operations, change control and de-commissioning of a number of
software applications, collectively called as the “Games Management System”. The
Games Management Systems is a suite of 19 individual software packages that are
backbone of planning, management and execution of primary Games functions. The
responsibilities also included new custom development and customisation of existing
software by internal team of developers.
The suite of software helps the 34 functional areas of the Organising Committee in
planning and organisation of the Games across 40 venues with a workforce of over
30,000 paid and volunteer staff.
The primary challenge was precision execution of the projects to meet absolute
timelines of internal and external deliverables against time, resource and knowledge
constraints. Seeing above the time horizon and creation of dependable contingency &
continuity plans with full involvement of the team were crucial to success in the role.
Principal Engineer Oct 06 – Apr 09
Volframe Analytics Pvt. Ltd. (formerly Numerisk Analytics Pvt. Ltd.), Mumbai
As a key person and the first employee of the company, I was instrumental in forming
the overall technology and business strategy of the company. My key responsibility was
conceptualisation, development and delivery of a multi-asset, web based intuitive
system for pricing of financial derivatives.
Responsible for complete SDLC, including but not limited to, research, scoping,
specification, design, framework selection, architecture, development, testing,
deployment and maintenance of the pricing system (the product) in a 3 person team.
The software comprised of over 750 KLOC of code, excluding 1.2 MLOC of code
generated from code generation tools written for the purpose

alignment with the HR and funding constraints of the organization
Single-handedly executed a key overseas project for a very large Asian bank
Gained domain knowledge of highly specialized field of financial derivatives
Manager – Product Development & Architecture Sep 04 – Sep 06
Powai Labs Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai
Responsible for complete engineering execution of vertical tool chain consisting of
analyser and compiler targeting Verilog HDL for IMAGE® - an FPGA based simulation
accelerator for ASIC design and verification engineers.
Hands-on led the entire engineering implementation, taking the product from design
to pre-deployment with 2 developers and 1 QA engineer initially, and growing team
to 6 later. The product cleared more than 97% of 350+ test cases and ran several
representative industry samples in alpha testing itself
Contributed to functional and non-functional specification of the product and led the
architecture team of 2 to delivery of complete architecture and tool selection with
long term implications. A data flow network model was developed to facilitate
development, scalability and future movement to SMP and distributed processing
environments consisting of heterogeneous systems
Scientific and technological development of transformations, data structures,
algorithms for analysis, representation and processing of input Verilog source
representing 2M - 40M gates in predictable and configurable amount of memory
Gained domain knowledge of highly specialized field of simulation accelerators in
microelectronics
Applications Engineer Aug 03 – Aug 04
Oracle Corporation India, Hyderabad
Contributed to development of PO Core components for Oracle 11i FPJ (11.5.10)
Handled DLD of PDOI (Purchase Documents Open Interface) rewrite and contributed
to implementation of PO contracts enhancement & also maintenance of Oracle 11i
FPI (11.5.9) PO Core and learnt the post-deployment support process
Gained knowledge of development and management processes and their
implementation and new domain knowledge of ERP applications, especially the way
they help in the enterprise purchase process
Instrumental in suggesting improvement in development processes and driving
adoption of better development tools and automation
Gained knowledge of development and management processes and their
implementation and new domain knowledge of ERP applications
