KEY SKILLS
• Efficient in designing Algorithms using appropriate Data Structures.
• Strong in the basics of Operating System and OOP concepts.
• Proficient in major Network Security areas like SSL/TLS, 802.1x and IP Security.
• Competent in problem solving and communication.
WORK EXPERIENCE
• MEMBER TECHNICAL STAFF - II (Aug 2014 – Present)
NetApp India Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore, KA, India.
One of the development leads in Globalization, a project intended to internationalize the traditional code
in WAFL – the efficient file system of the leading OS for Storage (ONTAP) across the globe.
Contributed in the efficient code design of the new features for WAFL Clone team in the future releases
(8.3.1 and 8.4.0) of ONTAP.
• SYSTEMS/SOFTWARE ENGINEER (Aug 2012 – Jul
2014)
Hewlett Packard, Printing and Personal Systems R&D Hub, Bangalore, KA, India.
Owned the C# code base of component test automation framework for Network Security module in JDI
Connectivity Section (Network Connectivity division of HP LaserJet Printers), and effectively
developed the code for its major components including SSL Proxy, 802.1x, IP Security, Certificate
Management and Secure at Install.
Successfully demonstrated ‘Instant ON’ feature, an enhanced security solution to the customers, during
'Innovation Open House' at HP.
2. MAJOR ACADEMIC PROJECTS
• Improving web search efficiency using context based analysis (Jul 2011 – Nov 2011)
Designed a data structure for Web Mining, which enhances the effectiveness of search results by analyzing
the semantics of the query using WordNet and Yahoo Directory. Search results are sorted in such a way that
the users get desired meaningful results for any given query.
• Process scheduling in multi-core operating systems using genetic algorithms (Jan 2011 – May 2011)
Designed an efficient process scheduling algorithm using the inherent ability of genetic algorithms to handle
multi-objective optimization problems. The algorithm executes at the minimal average waiting time of the
processes queued for scheduling, which in turn increased the overall performance.
• Reduction of localization error in the presence of cheating beacon nodes (Jul 2010 – Nov 2010)
Addressed an important security issue in the field of Wireless Networks, distance-based localization in the
presence of cheating beacon nodes, by implementing two different error reduction algorithms in localization
and analyses their efficiency using MATLAB simulation.
PRACTICAL EXPERIENCES
• INTERN (Jan 2012 – June 2012)
Hewlett Packard, Printing and Personal Systems R&D Hub, Bangalore, KA, India.
Designed a compatible ‘Log Viewer’ using JAVA and made debugging easy for developers who would get
exhausted with thousands of messy logs, which were of different formats generated by various processes.
• IN-PLANT TRAINEE (May 2010)
Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited, Coimbatore, TN, India.
Gained hands on experience in Mobile Technology, Networking and Data Communication.
CONFERENCES AND SEMINARS
• Awarded 3rd
prize for the paper on ‘A multicast scheme for mobile ad-hoc networks using hybrid genetic
algorithms’ at COGNIZANCE 2011, an intra-college paper presentation at PSG College of Technology.
• Presented a paper on ‘Feature Tracking’ at BRAMAHSTRA 2010 conducted by Indian Society for
Technical Education at PSG College of Technology, and secured 3rd
place.
AREA OF INTEREST
• Network Security, Data Structures and Algorithms.
SOFTWARE PROFICIENCY
• Languages: C, C++, C#, Java.
• Packages and Tools: MS Visual C# 2010, Wireshark 1.10, NetBeans 6.9, MS Office 2013
• Platforms: Windows 7/XP, Linux.
AWARDS AND ACHIEVEMENTS
• Secured 1st
place at District level Quiz competition in 11th
Grade.
• Secured school first rank in H.S.C. and S.S.L.C. public examinations.
• Secured 1st
place in ‘Code Warriors’ conducted by Institution of Engineers at PSG College of Technology.
• Organizer for the event ‘Open Source Coding’ in IQUBE 2011, an International technical symposium.
• Event Manager for ‘Algwarizm’ in KRIYA 2011, the third largest technical symposium in Tamil Nadu.
• School Pupil Leader in 12th
Grade at Sri Visweswara Vidyalaya Matriculation Higher Secondary School,
Coimbatore, TN, India.
