Nayed was the first post-Gaddafi Libyan Am-

tionalCouncil.HeledtheTripoliStabilisation
Team.PriortotheLibyanrevolutionheworked
as an important scholar in the field of Muslim-
Christian relations, and is the founder and di-
rector of Kalam Research & Media (KRM).
Religious Scholar: Nayed is a former professor at
thePontificalInstituteforArabicandIslamicStudies
(Rome), a former professor at the International In-
stituteforIslamicThoughtandCivilization(ISTAC,
Malaysia) and a senior advisor to the Cambridge
Interfaith Program and the Faculty of Divinity in
Cambridge, UK. Prior to the Libyan revolution he
lecturedon IslamicTheology,Logic,andSpiritual-
ityattherestoredUthmanPashaMadrasainTripoli,
Libya, and supervised Graduate Students at the
Islamic Call College there. He is also a member of
