Gear Testing & Grinding
Gear testing on an M&M gear tester allows for reverse
engineering of older boxes. The Hoffler™ Grinders (2)
allow for production of AGMA Class-10/12 gears,
standard in most of the newer gear boxes.

Gear Box Rebuilds
Gearbox inspection & repair consists of:
 Initial Teardown & Steam Cleaning of all the
components
 Inspection of the housing & gears to repair/
replace them as per the need
 Replacement of all the mechanical seals &
bearings
 Priming & painting with epoxy paint
 Reassembly and test run (with video
recording) 4 hours prior to the final delivery

Redesigning Obsolete Units
This mixer gearbox, for a local
WWTP, was obsolete, with no
alternative replacement components
available. M&G engineers reworked
the layout and performance
requirements to upgrade output and
fit within the established gearbox
footprint & partnering equipment
requirements. Gearing, motor and
custom machine work were all
developed for this project.
