1. Jules...I would ask your permission to share this image with the world.
Technology being magical, to me, this concept is tangible. I CAN actually share
it with people all over the globe. It's something I don't ever take for granted.
It still boggles my mind what can be done, creatively and communicatively. I am
obviously biased, because I believe my work to be special, and because YOU are
the subject. As an artist, I can not begin to express in words what it meant to
me that you agreed to allow me the privilege of creating this record. A mini-
documentary of you is what we achieved. I don't claim to really "know" you.
That's my loss. But from WHAT I DO know---you are an extremely down-to-earth,
intelligent, and honest person. All these years later, and I still can't believe
how incredibly beautiful you were (and are). As I admit---I'm biased---but I
fail to understand ANYone who could look at this photograph, and not be
awestruck by your femininity, athleticism, and inner glow, which manifests
itself as an outer glow. I am damned proud of these pix! And I'm honored to show
the world that I was the one who was fortunate enough to have been at the right
place and the right time, to have met you, and worked up the guts to ask you for
your collaboration. It was not easy for me then, because I was really blown away
by you, as I can see by your page, most everyone is who come in contact with
you. You're amazing, and everyone knows it who knows anything. All that being
said, I will not upload this picture unless you agree with me that it needs to
be seen by the masses. Of course you may have it, as you may have all the images
we captured. I'll work on them one-at-a-time, and send you the best JPGs I can
pull off. So between me and you, they're all OURS. I am the artist, but what you
did was allow me to be, and you were an artist yourself during this project. 50-
50. But with releasing them to the public, I require your blessing, because I
greatly respect you, and appreciate your privacy and feelings. To me, this image
is gold. In a very real way, I consider it "priceless," due to the fact it will
survive us both. I don't think of it as a product. It means so much more to me
than that. I could have been a millionaire ten times over if I had that kind of
ambition. But, for better or worse, I don't operate on that level. These
pictures are sacred things to me, as corny as that sounds. But, in reality, it
is not far-fetched to imagine these images making us both rich. It's not my main
objective, but I wouldn't refuse any money or publicity, should luck shine upon
us---AS LONG AS my ideals and your wishes are not compromised. Only the best for
the best; and you are the best. So, if I were to make any money from any of
these images, I would make sure you received half. That's my word. But if I
never make a single penny, my viewpoint about the value and beauty of these
artworks will not diminish one iota. Because you are actually as striking as the
picture portrays, it is special to me. It may be due in part to my personal
preference, but I look at this pic, and I'm floored by your presence. World-
class Beauty. I KNOW it, and no one but no one could convince me otherwise. I
hit the jackpot with you, and it happened, I believe, for a reason.
So....do we show the planet our "Mona Lisa?" I would greatly appreciate your
input and your encouragement.
I'll be awaiting your reply, and I hope that you and your family are well. I
send you my thanks and my prayers for health and peace...
Your Photographer~Eric
