2. ARIEL SHOT
A shot that has been taken above and
object, used to emphasise distance of
spectacle.
3. CANTED SHOT
A camera angle which is
deliberately slanted to one side,
sometimes used for dramatic effect to
help portray unease, disorientation.
4. CLOSE UP (EXTREME, BIG AND
MEDIUM)

5. CRAB SHOT
A Crab shot tends to mean in-and-out
movement, used inside cupboards,
under beds, fridges etc…
6. DEEP FOCUS
A shot that has a main object in
front which is in focus, but the
background is also in focus as
well.
7. ESTABLISHING SHOT
An establishing shot is usually the
first shot of a new scene, designed to show
the audience where the action is taking
place. It is usually a very wide shot or
extreme wide shot.
8. HAND HELD SHOT
Shot that is filmed by hand, you can
usually tell by shakiness etc…
