5. Peter’s Alley commissioned me to create a poster for their upcoming season starting with ‘Dinner with Friends’. The poster was developed with the
producer and director’s ideas in mind. The illustration of the wine glasses clashing creates the drama and interest the show features and the plate is used as a
frame for the show’s title. Illustration and type treatment was created using Adobe Illustrator.

9. Washington National Opera - Opera Institute 2017 Event Brochure and Poster
In partnership with American University, the WNO - Opera Institute is an intense pre-professional program for high school students who wish to pursue
opera in college. The brochure also serves as a poster to be used on school bulletin boards, and can be folded for students to take home.
Photos were enhanced and edited in Photoshop, and the type treatment and layout were made using InDesign.
10. Print Advertisement for SHIFT: A Festival of American Orchestras at the Kennedy Center
The Kennedy Center and the Washington Performing Arts conducted a week-long spotlight on North American orchestras. This print ad was designed for
Where Magazine, a publication that highlights various events in the Washington, D.C. area. The type treatment and poster layout were created
using InDesign.
11. Marketing Materials for Lunar New Year 2017 at the Kennedy Center
For the Kennedy Center’s celebration of the Chinese Lunar New Year, I was tasked with creating marketing materials in collaboration with the in-house
design team lead and the Kennedy Center’s International Programming team. These materials helped attract over ten thousand attendees for the event’s
festivities. Type treatment and layout were created in InDesign, and illustration was made in Illustrator.

For the Kennedy Center’s second year of celebrating the Chinese Lunar New Year, I was assigned to create the marketing materials in collaboration with my
supervisor, and the Kennedy Center International Programming. These materials helped attract over ten thousand people during the weekend festivities.
Type treatment and layout were created using InDesign, and the rooster illustration in Illustrator.
13. Marketing Materials for the National Symphony Orchestra
The National Symphony Orchestra provides free performances and educational activities in the Washington, D.C. area. These marketing pieces – including
posters and web ads - were designed to help the organization communicate how it works to build deeper connections with audiences of all ages to inspire
learning and create excitement for the arts. Type treatment and layout were created using InDesign, and web ads were optimized in Photoshop.
14. American Pops Orchestra – Don’t Rain On My Parade:75 Years of Streisand
For my second collaboration with The American Pops Orchestra, I was commissioned to create concert poster and marketing materials for a show featuring
music by Barbara Streisand. The objective was to create a visual theme that honors and celebrates the works of Streisand. Graphic design and type treatment
were created with Adobe Illustrator.
15. Known for its Old World charm of Italian culture and tradition, Osteria Da Nino commissioned me to create their marketing materials. A simple, mini-
malist design was used as a reflection of the owner’s Sicilian roots.

16. Marketing for Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater at the Kennedy Center
For the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater’s return to the Kennedy Center, I was tasked with creating marketing materials using the in-house style
conventions of the Kennedy Center’s design group. I created a show poster, in addition to web ads for usage on various theater and performing arts websites.
The type treatment and layouts were created using InDesign, and web ads were optimized in Photoshop.

17. These graphics were prepared for Navanti showing the bread production process in Syria from start to finish, and how hostile conflicts affect the price of
the country’s basic goods. Text, graphic and layout was done in Illustrator.

18. For ‘Nice Work’ I coordinated with the show’s director and presented hand-drawn thumbnail sketches of potential layouts. Because this musical is set in
1920’s New York, the client requested that the poster depict key elements such as romance, dancing and the Prohibition-era references. The illustration was
used for the poster artwork, website thumbnail, postcard, and Facebook cover photo.

19. WWF Philippines hosts its annual Doodle Day, which uses art as a means of promoting environmental awareness. The goal was to incorporate nature and
its elements in the form of a doodle illustration for use in its marketing campaign and collaterals. I made a pencil sketch for the doodle, and then traced the
lineart and rendered it in Illustrator.

20. These are the ads featured in the Washington Blade Arts section, and various theater websites to promote The Arlington Players’ production of Little Shop
of Horrors for its 65th season.

21. This poster was a self-initiated project for a family member’s birthday and graduation party. As a gift, I designed an illustration that features characters of
his favorite game - ‘Ni No Kuni’ - and included him in his academic regalia. The illustration started as a pencil sketch; I then traced the lineart and colored
each shape in Illustrator. Texture was added in Photoshop, and then the image was transferred back into Illustrator for poster design.

22. These are logo concepts for Alesion, a medicine company in the Philippines. Alesion is an anti-histamine (allergen) medicine that has a triple effect action
on relieving allergies; it prevents bronchial allergies and prevents them from coming back. The idea of fast action, movement and its triple effect served as
inspiration for the logos. The logos were rendered in Photoshop.

23. K-Zone is an international magazine for kids in the Philippines. To add excitement and fun for students who are coming back to school, this commission
was created for its back-to-school issue. These illustrations were rendered with pen-and-ink and scanned into Photoshop for color rendering.

24. I worked with the creative team to make these banner displays for Manny O. Wines. The ads were created using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. The ads
were displayed on one of the major highways in Manila, Philippines. The above photo is a concept composite for the actual usage.

27. For the 66th season of The Arlington Players - a community theatre group in Arlington, Virginia - I was commissioned to design the full poster series. The
set was developed in coordination with all three directors of the season’s upcoming shows. With last season a success thanks to it’s posters, the upcoming
series was requested to be done using illustration work. The drafts, final lineart and color were done in Photoshop and the type treatment in Illustrator.
