• POVERTY - Poverty is the main reason
for child labour. Poor families require
money in order to survive, so they need to
have as many family members working as
possible. The parents of families in
extreme situations sell their children to rich
people as household workers for money.

education is a massive problem in
developing countries. Because the
majority of children are uneducated, they
do not know their rights or the laws that
benefit them. As a result, they end up
being abused or used as slaves,
underpaid and forced to work even though
they are under-age.
