- If I don’t get insulin, I’ll be in a coma in 24 hours, dead in 48. Still, additional complications worry me even more. Should concern you as well, they are the really costly ones! Getting glucose values in control is the only way to avoid additional complications.
- Understand, understand! Depends on information. Each diabetic is an individual. Lifes are different, bodies are different. Type 2 diabetics as well! Benefit from tracking physical exercise and weight loss, also effects on blood glucose levels On a deeper level, both diabetics and healthcare professionals suffer from frustration due to not being able to adjust parameters properly due to missing data, stemming from fear of being inadequate.
- Analysis = Electronic logbook: Graphs assisting interpretation History allowing easy comparisons, showing trends There are some generic quantified self API’s that allow users to track whatever data. Not optimized for treatment of diabetes!
- Globally 4.6 Million deaths in 2011. One each 7 seconds.
