Professional Summary
I am very hard working, love to learn, I am caring and considerate of others, I have
integrity and I am honest. I am currently a high school senior at Sullivan Central High
School, but I am dual enrolled at Northeast State Community College. The health care
field has been my passion since I was a child, and I would love to pursue nursing. I am
working towards receiving my Associates in nursing at Northeast State. After I get that, I
will work as an RN while I am in school at King University to receive my Bachelors.
After I am well grounded and have worked at least a year as an RN, I would like to go
back to King University to receive my Masters and become a Nurse Practitioner.
At Sullivan Central I am in HOSA (Health Occupations Students Of America). I took an
EMS class taught by EMTs in Bristol, and I am going to take a test that would qualify me
to graduate with State Distinction. I am a certified first responder and I am certified in
CPR as well, which will help me in the future. Also at Sullivan Central I was in clinicals,
which allowed me to follow doctors and nurses in the hospital. I was able to see a birth in
Labor and Delivery, I got to go to Trauma, PACU and back into the surgery rooms, I got
to go into the NICU and see procedures done in there, as well as in Pediatrics and
2. Neurology. I learned a whole, lot while I was in clinicals and following those doctors and
nurses. I plan on applying for a job starting this summer in the hospital as a PCT (Patient
Care Technician) and work under nurses to get my foot in the door and see if nursing is
what I really want to do with my life, which will be a great experience.
