3. This advertisement contains a few characteristics. The schoolis
introducing its schoolcourse, it is showing the awards it gets, they also
showing the opening hours of its school. From these characteristics, I can
stereotype this schoolis making advertisement to attract student to study at
their schoolinstead of other school. When I saw that they have given their
website on the advertisement, and they also said that they open every day.
And not to forget, they also say “call 1-900-881-BAC (222) TODAY!” they
highlighted “TODAY” and put an exclamation mark. I stereotype that, they
are very eager on encouraging and attracting people to know more about
their schooland study at there.
They mention “The Fastest and Smartest way” in their advertisement. As if
students that have chose another schoolis doing the wrong decision, but is
there and prove that, there is really having the fastest and smartest way?
Even if they use the shortest time to finish one particular course, this says
that they are having the fastest way, but could the students catch up with it?
Is it really the smartest way? They also mention that BAC is the Malaysian
Institution with the HIGHEST number of TOP IN THE WORLD
Outstanding Cambridge A2 Learner Awards 2013. They say that they have
the highest amount of student studying Cambridge A2, but are the quantity
4. matters or the quality? There might be other schoolthat also having
outstanding students studying Cambridge A2, but maybe the amount was not
as much as they do. They did show the amount of good students that are
studying there, but did they shows the bad students who student there? Did
they show the bad result that obtain by student? Could the bad result is more
that the good ones? These are what I had prejudiced.
There are a few ways they used to persuade people to study at there. They
say that they are having the “Fastestand Smartest” way, the “express and
standard Routes” to A-Level, the BEST in the WORLD LAW AND
BUSINESS 2012 & 2013, they are chosen from over 100 UK Degrees, and
they are also showing the awards they got. There are the ways they use to
persuade people to study at their school.
