For each of the requirements listed in the table below,
1 . Please identify it as functional requirement or non-functional requirement.
2 . Please provide an explanation for every non-functional requirement that you identified.
Solution
Non-functional requirements describe how the system works , while functional
requirements describe what the system should do .
Typical non-functional requirements are:
F:Functional
NF: Non-Functional
Requirement
F:Functional
NF: Non-Functional
A. The System must perform the data
validation.
Functional
B. Data records must be unique. NF because it is constraint upon data records
C. Communication between database
servers must be encrypted.
Functional because ecryption function has to be
performed
D. Files must be organized into groups
based on data dependencies.
NF because there is constraint that files organized
based on data dependencies.
E. The system must be able handle at
least 5000 concurrent users.
NF because it is property of capacity which falls under
non functional requirement.
F. The response time must be less than 5
seconds.
NF because response time is less than 5 seconds falls
under property Performance- response time.
