Marcia Hartsock works professionally as a
Medical Illustrator, a perfect career for an artist who loves
both science and drawing. In addition to winning national
awards, she was selected one of the Top 100 Secret Artists
by ArtWorks in 2008. She has taught art techniques to teens
and adults, and is on the faculty of the Sitka Fine Arts Camp
in Alaska.
Elizabeth Smith is a veteran art teacher with
Cincinnati Public schools. She finds teaching hand stitching
and embroidery to students results in creative thinking as
well as conversation. Students bond with each other through
sharing of ideas and stories related to their past through
recycled fabrics and found materials.
Art is the only way to run away without leaving home.
