The botanical garden of Mérida is one
of the natural attractions that are
inside the helmet of the most iconic
city of the state Mérida
A Botanic Garden is a center that recreates within its facilities, adequate
conditions for the development and maintenance of plants of different
environments, in a limited area and accessible to the community, as a
result of a series of coordinated scientific and technical research , With
the aim of making known to the community the richness of plant
diversity.
3. The Botanical Garden of Mérida
is located in the sector La
Hechicera, in the northern part
of the City of Mérida. It is a living
museum whose facilities have
been developed since 1991, when
the University of Los Andes
affected an extension of 44
hectares of forest to the Centro
Botanico de Mérida of the
University of Los Andes.
4. Its limits are: by the northeast, a private land and the road that goes towards
Los Chorros de Milla; By the south, Alberto Carnevali Avenue and El Rio
Albarregas; By the east, the Faculty of Forestry Sciences, the Neighborhood
