particular.
About 1.3 billion people are regular smokers worldwide and every day between 8,200 and 9,900
young people start to smoke, risking rapid addiction to nicotine.
Youngsters at the age of 18 to 24 are badly addicted.
Smoking cigarettes has been a common practice among students since 1960 in the world.
3. Drug Addiction:
Drug addiction, also called substance use disorder, is a
dependence on a legal or illegal drug or medication. Keep in mind that alcohol and
nicotine are legal substances, but are also considered drug.
4. Different facts and figures about drug
addiction:
According to senate standing committee on interior and narcotics control
told that around 7Million drug addicts in Pakistan in 2015.
A survey conducted by Global Youth Tobacco Survey students from the class 8 to
10 in Lahore and Islamabad smoking rate was 11% among male students and 6%
among female students.
According to a Pakistani research published in an Indian journal reports that in the
year 2000, tobacco smoking killed around 4.9 million people worldwide and this
number expected to rise very sharply.
38.70% male students are shisha smokers, who just smoke to remove the
frustration and gain pleasure.
Karachi shows that tobacco among male high school students at 16%.
Another study conducted in all universities students focusing on age of initiation
found that 23% of students who had started smoking before the age of 10 were
current smokers whereas 61% of those who began using smokeless tobacco
before the age of 10 were current smokeless tobacco users.

The drug addiction is as like disease in which people addicted of different drugs
and not able to control their drug use and they may continue using the drug
despite the harm it causes. Drug addiction can cause an intense craving for the
drug. They may want to quit, but most people find they can't do it on their own.
Drug addiction can cause serious, long-term consequences, including problems
with physical and mental health, relationships, employment, and the law.

The ministry of education should include new material with specific reference to
the drug addiction curriculum.
Drug addiction is an obnoxious activity especially for youngsters. Pakistan dung
control institution should make rapid abilities to cease the flow of drugs.
Anti-narcotics and its forces should deploy intelligence, in order to make sense that
from where the drug flows within Pakistan.
The main actors in this drug trafficking.
Pakistan medical association should also device the laws which will possible cease
the sale of drugs to other than patients.
Smoking should be prohibited in public places, and there should be a heavy
impose of fine, which possible will break the law.
