4. What’s the difference between city and country?
City Country
In the city, we can see cars, shops,
streets, houses, flats,…
In the country, we can see trees,
flowers, animals, plants,…

Villages and cities have different areas built at different
times in history.
•The historic centre is the oldest part.
It has narrow streets and old buildings.
•Neighbourhoods: Families live in flats or houses.
•Outskirts: These areas are outside
of the city and we can find industrial areas.

All cities have public services that we can all use. Citizens pay
tax and the town hall uses the money to provide these
services.
