After displaying this
poem about leprechauns
on the screen, we read
the poem together as a
class. This choral reading
was fun and non-
threatening to the
students.

Allow the students more time to come
up and point to their favorite parts of
the poem.
Have different students come up and
point to the words as we read them as a
class.

9. Why use Technology?
It was important for me to use technology for this
lesson because I needed a way for all the students to
see the poem.
Before reading the poem, I was able to point out words
that I didn’t think they would know by using the flex
cam and projecting the poem and the word I was
pointing to on the screen.
This also allowed students to come up and point to
their favorite parts of the poem.
This caught the student’s attention because it was
something different and out of the ordinary.
