2. Any mistakes in compiling this work are the result of me not yet a master meditator, or
scholar in Yoga philosophy, and not from mistakes in the actual knowledge.
It may also be noted as to the impossibility to fully transmit knowledge through short PPT
thus making a commentary such as this seem shallow, pompous and dogmatic.
The intention here is to compile simple visual presentation of the divine teaching
of “BHAGVAD GITA “. This not for personal gain and if you find any copyrighed
material which need to be deleted please e mail me at samc108@gmail.com.

4. BG 5.27–5.28:
Shutting out all thoughts
of external enjoyment,
with the gaze fixed on the
space between the eye-
brows, equalizing the flow
of the incoming and
outgoing breath in the
nostrils, and thus
controlling the senses,
mind, and intellect, the
sage who becomes free
from desire and fear,
always lives in freedom.
BG 5.29:
Having realized
me as the
enjoyer of all
sacrifices and
austerities, the
Supreme Lord of
all the worlds
and the selfless
Friend of all
living beings,
my devotee
attains peace. .

8. Devotion to the Lord
leads to Moksha.
The essence of Chapters 2, 3 and 4
(All the ways in which the Absolute is
understood in the contexts of sacrifice,
discipline and theology)
are here brought together as being
conducive to PEACE.
Last sloka of each chapter gives the result or benefit – here you obtain PEACE

The goal of first five chapters
of Gita is to establish proper
relationship and understanding
(सामंजस्य) between Work
(कमम) and Knowledge
(ज्ञान)'
(अन्तरङ्ग साधन) that comes as a next step –
meditation Ch 6. Meditation is an essential step
between Karma-Yoga and Self-Knowledge, so
before taking it up fully in sixth chapter, here at
the end of fifth chapter a brief introduction to it
is given.
A yogi should focus his/her
BAHIRANGA SADHANA
EXTERNAL PURIFICATION
ANTARANGA SADHANA
INNER PURIFICATION
The seeker should ignore the inputs received through sense organs;
then he/she is sure to reach the goal of Liberation (मुक्तत) and attainment of
ultimate and final Peace (शाक्न्तिः).
1-- God is all pervading –inner power of all beings. as the ENJOYER
2--God is the supreme Lord of all the worlds.
3- He is the FRIEND of all the beings. (Full of compassion and LOVE )
SADHANA or PRACTICE OF PURIFICATION
10. This chapter emphasizes the temporary nature of our stay in this world.
We come into this world with nothing and we leave with nothing
Our claims to proprietorship and
attachments to various objects create
Change is a constant
theme in this world
our relationships are changing,
the environment is changing,
our possessions are changing, and
our desires are also changing.
Slowly we develop a sense of detachment,
understanding the Supreme Lord to be the proprietor and
ourselves as simply caretakers,
to that extent we can experience a sense of peace within.
Interestingly, it is this inner peace that brings about global peace; a community of
individuals who are free from attachment, greed, envy, and covetousness is what this
world really needs.
Fear,
Insecurity and
Conflict

GITA Ch 5, v 29
11. Way of
Selfless Action
Way of Knowledge through Renunciation
The Way of Selfless
Action is yet superior.
Without such action there
is no end of desire, and of
good and evil deeds
Renunciation is the name, not of a means, but of the goal itself.
The man of renunciation is a doer of selfless action, a yogi.
Godliness is his mark.
He neither acts nor makes others act, and all beings are
engaged in action only under the pressure of nature.
He is the seer- the pandit because he knows God.
Chapter 5 has thus elucidated the unique and amazing point that the power
that dwells within the sage after his realization of God is no other than the
spirit of the Supreme Lord of the God who is the enjoyer of the offerings of all
yagya and penances.
At the beginning of the chapter Arjun raised a question about
Selfless Action and the Way of Knowledge through Renunciation.
He wished to know that which Is superior.
Krishn told him that there is ultimate good in both.
In both the worshipper has to perform the ordained act of yagya

12. It is stated here that
he who knows the Lord (Atma) attains peace.
1-- God is all pervading and so He is the inner power of all beings.
Consequently God is described as the ENJOYER of the fruits of all
sacrifices and austerities (the meritorious work ) performed by devotees
(see Gita: 9/27)
2--God is the supreme Lord of all the worlds.
There is no power higher or equal to Him.
3- He is the FRIEND of all the beings. (Full of compassion and LOVE )
3 attributes of the Lord are mentioned here

GITA Ch 5, v 29
13. Friend of all beings : as the nearest and dearest companion
Though He is the Lord and Controller of all the worlds
The very fact that He directly teaches the wisdom of the Gita
to man-kind is the proof of His compassion for suffering humanity.
What does God require of man ? Nothing.
And yet He is full of love for man and acts like
the greatest friend and benefactor
A friend is one who does good to another without expecting any return.
on whom one can depend for help and guidance in his sadhana.
GITA Ch 5, v 29
14. If one enquires into the nature of man and the universe around him,
he would understand the infinite compassion of the Lord and his
ceaseless endeavor to do the highest good to all beings.
Every one is seeking for peace
HOW ? By easy path of DEVOTION the seeker attains peace and freedom ,
know Him intimately the attributes of God
which confirms and strengthens his devotion.
By the grace of God alone it is possible for man to cross the mire of
delusion, and establish his oneness with the Supreme Reality (Brahman).
GITA Ch 5, v 29
