1. DIARY ENTRY 19
Lately, I have been completing several tasks for
my music video. These included the planning tasks
‘Structure of my Music Video’, ‘Storyboards’ and
‘Filming Schedule’.
STRUCTURE OF MY MUSIC VIDEO
I completed this task in the form of a word
document where I listed each shot I wanted in my
music video, and the seconds I imagine this shot
would last for. This gave me a good insight in to
the amount of detail of the planning for my music
video. It made me much more organized when I did
my storyboards, however I changed the timings
slightly in the storyboards after some
consideration.
STORYBOARDS
For the storyboards tasks, I printed out a
template of storyboards for my music video. I
filled it out with the details relevant and found
it made me much more prepared when thinking about
which shots were important to me for the music
video. I scanned these sheets on to the computer
and saved them as images.
FILMING SCHEDULE
In Word, I completed a brief filming schedule for
my music video shoot. This allowed me to know
when I would need to shoot, as well as how long
it would realistically take for me to set up the
equipment before I began filming. This table was
something I could refer back to whenever one of
the crew asked me how long the shoot was going to
take; which therefore proved it to be a very
useful task.
