What is it?

A patient management database based on the World Health Organization (WHO) Pre-ART and ARV patient registers

An ACCESS database that contains key indicators from the TRAC dossier and the TRAC register

A clinical data management initiative designed to facilitate rapid and accurate monthly reporting to TRAC and in addition provide other key clinical indicators that improve patient management and clinical decision making

The objective of the database is to help facilities build their capacity for enhanced data analysis and use.

Local partner treatment facilities currently have the option of using the software in either French or English.

Freely available tool, open source tool and well documented

 4. 4. Why we implemented it?

Previously no electronic system in place

Complements the manual system in place by computerizing key variables from the existing TRAC dossier and TRAC register

Easy to install, User friendly

Improves patient care and provides quick generation of key reports

Available in both English and French and easy to translate to any other language

Analyzing information from a manual system is time consuming and more prone to errors

 5. 5. What does it provide us with ?

Automated accurate monthly TRAC report

Automated accurate Quarterly CDC report

Several clinical reports

ARV drug pick up habits

Reports that detect missed key clinical indicators (i.e.. Missed TB screen, WHO stage, Missed ARV pick up)

Patients with reducing CD4 over time
