To whom it may concern
This is to certify that Mr. Md Shahid Ullah is currently working on his Master’s thesis
in the Mechatronics group of Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology
(SIMTech) under my supervision. His attachment duration is from February to August
2014.
His thesis topic is on theoretical and simulation study on the semi-active friction
damper in the motion control system towards sub-micron accuracy. He shows his
competency on independent study at his first stage of research work, which he is now
carrying on the literature review of semi-active damper and verify the examples with
the MATLAB/Simulink software, as well as documenting the research results using
typesetting software LaTEX.
