to persuade audiences of the truth of a particular message.
This includes citing statistics.
Emotional Appeal-
Appealing to the emotions (i.e. love, greed, desire) of the
audience in order to persuade them of a particular message.

Appealing to an audience by persuading them that a certain
message is accepted by people of good will, good sense, and
good moral character.
Testimonials- Statements made in support of a particular
truth, fact, or claim to help convince another to buy a
product or believe a certain way.
Bandwagon or appeal to popularity-
Attempting to persuade an audience of a particular message
on the basis that everyone believes in that message.
Glittering Generalities-
Attempting to persuade an audience through the use of
statements that intentionally lack specificity or are generally
vague statements.
