5. Some examples of the products
produced by their platforms…
(21st Century Fox)
6. How does it promote its products
across different products?
YouTube… Fox News website…
7. How is its content aimed at a global
audience?
Fox news is broadcasted in over 86 countries
worldwide. As well as offering American news, it
also comments and broadcasts national
tragedies and disasters, with international
broadcasts featuring Fox Extra segments during
ad breaks. Films are released worldwide and
many films include a diverse cast which allows
everyone to identify with a character that is
representative of themselves.
8. What are the disadvantages of a
conglomerate?
Fox films are biased towards one opinion and express their views
subconsciously through their films which may, in tern reach a passive
audience.
Many ideas for films are limited and similar as they all stem from one group
of people and do not branch out for help from other producers who may have
better and more advanced/original ideas to bring to the table as FOX
constantly refer to the same group of people for new creative ideas.
It also may be hard for FOX to appeal to many different target audiences as
their products all target a varity of audiences. For example, FOX News target
an older middle class people whereas 20th Century Fox entice mainly a
teenage audience (all depending on the films BBFC ratings)
