1.What is your perception about the multimodal Project of Bolivar Port?
While most modern ports have in the country, it is good for the business of it and while it is closer to agricultural
production is better.
2. Do you think this project will bring benefits to the business relationship in our country?
Of course that will bring benefits by improving export activity especially in agricultural products
3. What are the disadvantages of Bolivar Port?
The truth, I do not see a disadvantage if the new project is implemented.
4. Do you think the Bolivar Port is a threat to others main ports in Ecuador?
It can not be threatened, rather it generates ports improve and provide better service to attract customers.
5. Do you see any fundamental difference between the logistics of Bolivar Port and Esmeraldas Port?
Perhaps it Logistics for certain regions, such as northern and eastern Sierra port
Esmeraldas is closer, while for the southern Sierra the Bolivar Port shortens distances.
• Bolivar Port is the cornerstone in the trade as the volume
of its cargo mobilized 98% of Ecuador's banana
production, 2% are exports of fruits, vegetables and
seafood converting it into the second most important port
in the country.
• It is the most convenient port to import and export for
distances. It is 193 kilometers from Cuenca, while
Guayaquil is 240Km, Esmeraldas 667km and Manta to
446 kilometers.
• In management plans it is to promote multiple use of
services between traders and manufacturers from the
southern region, especially Cuenca.
