often used in English, thus is necessary know, how to identify the meaning and
definition of each word. Be noted that with the passage of time the application of
English is more common, since it is used by all mankind. The English has
become the global language of communication par excellence, and allows us to
understand and facilitates negotiations with people from other countries
Moreover, the phenomenon of globalization has contributed greatly to make the
English is the most important language and necessary today, which is being
treated as the language of the dominant countries in the world (especially the
U.S. and Britain). So today is essential training in English proficiency not only
labor issues (have a good level of English is undoubtedly a good gateway to
better job positions) but also to communicate in order to access more knowledge
and information, to be updated.
So study the English language is essential to communicate globally so we can

2. FREELANCE WORKS
2.1. TOPIC: PROBLEMS IN THE WORLD (12/04/2013)
2.1.1. CHILD LABOR
Today, many children work. Nearly 215 million of children work in the world.
They don't go to school and don't time for play. Many children work because
don't have for feeding. They don't have the opportunity to be children, because
have to work for bring money to home. Many children have to work in dangerous
places, causing accidents and the death of the children. The child labor is very
bad, then, in our country is controlled the child labor.
2.1.2. POLLUTION
The pollution is a problem in the world, because the people contaminate the air
with the smoke of their cars and factories, causing global warming. Also the
people destroy the nature and contaminate the water of the rivers and of the
waterfalls. In developed countries there is more pollution, because there are
more cars and factories.
6
2.1.3. POVERTY
The poverty is to problem in the world, because the families don't have money.
Also there families very poor who don't have house and live in streets
The poverty is caused by the lack of work in the countries; causing families don't
have access to the food, the basic services and the education. The poverty is
more evident in underdeveloped countries.
2.1.4. ABORTION IN ADOLESCENTS
Abortion in adolescents is a problem in the girls who do not want to be mothers
at a young age. Abortion in adolescents is a decision that will impact in life of the
girls dramatically, because studies have found that abortion can lead to an
increased chance of getting breast cancer, and other diseases, not to mention
death due to excessive bleeding or other complications.
In our country abortion is illegal, but at present time can use preventive methods
such as the morning after pill to prevent unwanted pregnancies.

2.2. TOPIC: THE EARTH AFTER THE 50 YEARS (19/04/2013)
Within 50 years the earth will have different changes. The population aren't
going to have water, the people will have diseases and hungry, due pollution.
Consequently, the deforestation causing the global warming.
The Earth during these years has problems due the contamination causing for
the smoke of factories and cars, approximately 30% of most common animals
are endangered because there is a high level of environmental pollution.
The proliferation of pest species contaminated for pests and weeds in this case
is sent into the air, seas, rivers and waterfalls.
Another problem of earth is that may be impacted by meteorites, comets and
other bits of matter on its journey through space AXR.
Between 1000 and 2000 million years in the future, also will be increased solar
radiation due to the accumulation of helium in the Sun's core, which result in the
loss of the oceans and the cessation of continental drift.
8
The temperature of planet increases quickly causing the global warming,
because is an issue that causes the drought of rivers. Also the deforestation is a
problem caused by the decrease or increase of the rains, because the trees are
considered the lungs of the earth.
Afterwards of many problems, the pollution is the principal cause for destroy of
earth. In my opinion, is necessary protecting the environment through of
recycling, reuse, planted tree and aren’t spending a lot of water.
In conclusion, the people should care for the environment, and extends the life
on earth. Since the earth is only planet in the solar system that has life

2.3. TOPIC: THE ALCOHOLISM IN THE TULCAN CITY (03/05/2013)
The alcoholism is a serious problem in the Tulcan city, people consume
alcoholic drinks, and it is harmful to health, consume is terrible in the young.
To begin the first solution, not sell alcohol to minors, as a result, the young
buying other drinks such as soft drinks, and they stop ingesting alcoholic
beverages.
Another solution for this problem is that in the parties doesn't serve alcoholic
beverages, consequence, people and young are going to consuming
refreshments, they are going to dancing every night in the party.
In addition another solution for this problem in my city is create youth groups
and adults consequently, for do recreational activities such as sports, dance as
therapy, camps, and other activities that allow young people stay busy and
unable to drink alcohol.
Also another solution for this problem is that families to know the alcohol level
of the person with this problem, as a result, the families would help with
treatment and he would lend greater attention for lift her self-esteem and this
person does not fall into this problem of alcoholism.
Inconclusion the alcoholism must be treated quickly, because it is a problem that
causes harm to health, is necessary, create recreational activities, and at parties
stop serving alcohol, the retails and stores shouldn’t sell alcohol to minors or on
Sundays because it is prohibited by law.

2.4. TOPIC: IF I WIN TWO MILLION DOLLAR IN THE LOTTERY
(08/05/2013)
If I win two million dollars, I will travel for the world. I will visit different cities of
the five continents. I'll to China where I will be visiting the Great Wall , also I'll
go to France to know the Eiffel Tower in Paris , to Egypt to visit the pyramids,
Later I would have gone to know the shrine of the Virgin of Guadalupe in Mexico
and would eventually to USA. It would be great, if I had two million dollars; I
would go the shopping and would buy shoes, dresses, jackets, jeans, and
blouses of different colors. If I had all that money, I would buy a new car and a
house in the Miami city.
Although If I win two million dollars. I will take my family of trip, around the
Ecuador, for now the differentclimates, flora and fauna of all cities.
Finally, if I won the lottery, I would help to my sister and brother in their studies, I
would like to put a business to my parents, for them to get more revenue to
improve their economy. If I won two million dollars, I would study a PHD and
then I would create my own company to help my family and poor people by
giving them work.

2.5. TOPIC: PARAGRAPHS (10/05/2013)
2.5.1. INCREASING
Since 1950, the world population has doubled
and now number about 6,000 million inhabitants,
that's why the population has had an increasing.
However, this increase is not uniform, there are
periods of decreasing and / or increasing, in turn,
also has varied some other geographical areas.
2.5.2. RESOURCES
Every business has constantly the problem of
how to do the best job possible in minimal time,
with minimal effort and, of course, at the lowest
cost. The basic resources of a company serving
its purpose are: Human, Materials, Technical
and Financial. The resources help the company
succeed.
2.5.3. SUPPORT
Starting a business is not easy. Having a family
support provided to entrepreneurs face and
overcome the difficulties will certainly find along
the way. If the family does not endorse one of its
members succeed, this can lead to failure.
Family support greatly influences the personal
development of any person.
12
2.5.4. FEED
Parents are responsible for the health of their children, is why
proper nutrition should begin at an early age. Feeding children
from birth to 6 months of life, breast milk is their only food.
This will help children grow strong and healthy. Currently the
government is doing everything possible to feed thousands of
children who are in the street.
2.5.5. FOSSIL
A team of paleontologists has discovered the
most recent dinosaur fossil record. This fossil
was found in Montana, United States. An
amazing discovery for many people. The fossil
was located 13 cm below the K / T boundary,
the layer of sediments that marks the
geological time of occurrence of the asteroid
impact, as advocated by some, caused the
extinction of the dinosaurs 65 million years.
2.5.6. LEADING
The leading causes of the extinction of animals
are generally related to the action of man, and this
is totally true and that has always been exploited
natural resources indiscriminately regardless of the
dangers that this causes. On many occasions
these killings occur for the value of the skins of
these animals.
13
2.5.7. FEATURE

man, including humans. Access to clean water has
increased during the last decades in the earth's

2.7. TOPIC: ESSAY (03/06/2013)
PROS CONS
With the legalization of marijuana would end
the illegal market, will reduce corruption and
violence
Marijuana causes memory loss short and long
days after ingestion, though much of those
memories are lost for a time, they recover soon
after, though not entirely
It helps to reduce nausea and pain caused by
chemotherapy
The health risks associated with marijuana use
would cause a collapse that would lead to
overspending countermeasures, we talk that a
marijuana cigarette is equivalent to five cigars
snuff.
It acts as a medicine for muscle aches.
This drug trafficking is a multimillionaire business
of criminal groups who are not resigned to losing,
causing it to unleash a wave of violence or the
appearance of new forms of crime.
It helps reduce benign and malignant tumors.
When establishing legally consumption, the
number of illegal increases dramatically, will raise
the homicides, robberies, assaults, suicides and
more.
With the legalization of this, the government
would stop spending enormous resources
which is intended to combat drug trafficking
It contains many chemicals that can hurt the lungs
and cause cancer.
The government would receive the taxes
generated by the legal sale of drugs, also
control the market, and establish rules and
regulations for this activity.
Decriminalize marijuana is to give further impetus
to its use in a sick society for drug.
16
2.7.1. THE LEGALIZE THE MARIHUANA OR COCAINE.
The legalization of marijuana has consequences for society, more and more
countries legalize this drug, it has been established that the use of marijuana
helps health problems
The legalization of marijuana has several advantages. First, with the legalization
of marijuana would end the illegal market, will reduce corruption and violence
due to the fact that the government would stop spending enormous resources
which is intended to combat drug trafficking, Afterwards the government would
receive the taxes generated by the legal sale of drugs, Also control the market,
and establish rules and regulations for this activity. In addition it helps to reduce
nausea and pain caused by chemotherapy, because it acts as a medicine for
muscle aches and It helps reduce benign and malignant tumors.
However there are disadvantages of legalization of marijuana. The first
disadvantage of legalization of marijuana is that causes memory loss short and
long days after ingestion, for instance much of those memories are lost for a
17
time, but they recover soon after, though not entirely. Secondly the health risks
associated with marijuana use would cause a collapse that would lead to
overspending, as a result we talk that a marijuana cigarette is equivalent to five
cigars snuff, due to the fact that it contains many chemicals that can hurt the
lungs and cause cancer. In addition this drug trafficking is a multimillionaire
business of criminal groups who are not resigned to losing, causing it to unleash
a wave of violence or the appearance of new forms of crime. Also when
establishing legally consumption this drug, increases the number of illegal
dramatically, will raise the homicides, robberies, assaults, suicides and more.
For this reason decriminalize marijuana is to give further impetus to its use in a
sick society for drug.
In conclusion, the legalization of marijuana has favorable and unfavorable
effects on society of a country, since it helps to treat ache certain diseases, but
in turn increases consumption and addiction, although the government may
receive tax for the commercialization, it also creates great problems of crime,
theft, and corruption

3.1. TOPIC: INTIRAYMI (04/05/2013)
The Inti Raymi Festival is held in late June each year in the Andean peoples
of Peru, Bolivia, Argentina and Ecuador, where many people gather to
celebrate and show their gratitude for the bounty of the land with a variety of
traditional rituals colors.

3.2. TOPIC: NANOTECHNOLOGY AND CANCER
Cancer is a very complicated disease.
Nobody is quite sure what causes it,
but it happens when some cells in your
body go haywire and grow out of
control. Not all cancers are alike, some
are on the skin and others are located
deep within the body. The first
challenge is actually finding the cancer.
Can nanotechnology help us? Sure.
Another reader wanted to know about how nanotechnology would impact
cancer. What is important about treating cancer? Finding where the cancer is in
the body and then sending powerful medicines only to where the cancer is
located.
The first challenge is finding the cancer. You
want to find it when it is really small, before it
gets too big. X-rays don’t do a good job
because they only work with things like bones.
Other ways of looking inside the body can
work but you need to label the cancer cells so
that you can see them. Quantum dots (shown
right) are one way to label cells. They are
really small, around five nanometers in size and because they are really tiny
they can make it through the body to the cancer. If you want something to go
through the blood stream to all parts of the body, they need to be really small.
The tiny capillaries that delivery food and oxygen throughout your body become
really narrow, only a few thousand nanometers in diameter. Once the quantum
39
dots reach the cancer a special kind of light is used, infrared light that can
penetrate deep into the body. The quantum dots glow and you can see them
with a special camera
Once you figure out where the cancer is,
nanotechnology can also be used to treat it.
Nanotechnology can make tiny particles, only a few
nanometers in size that can reach the cancer.
Scientists have shown that things like carbon
nanotubes and small particles of gold can be delivered
to the cancer. Once they are there, you can again use
special kinds of light to heat up the nanotubes or the particles of gold. Turns out
that cancer cells explode when you heat them up and if you can heat only the
cancer cells up and not the healthy tissue around it, you can treat cancer. Most
of this stuff is still experimental but progress is being made.

3.3. TOPIC: THE ART AROUND THE WORLD
Art is any activity or product done by humans for aesthetic purposes or
communicative, through which we express ideas, emotions or, in general, a
vision of the world through various resources, such as plastics, linguistic, audio
or mixed.
The creative arts are often divided into more specific categories, such as
decorative arts, plastic arts, performing arts and literature. So, painting is a form
of visual art, and poetry is a form of literature.
An example of visual art is the painting of 'Mona Lisa', was
painted by Leonardo da Vinci. It certainly wins the title of
the world's most famous painting. His mysterious smile is
what has intrigued millions. 'Mona Lisa' is the most
famous painting there.
As poetry can mention "I like you calm" of its author
Pablo Neruda Chilean poet, considered among the
best and most influential artists of his century, "the
greatest poet of the twentieth century in any
language", according Gabriel García Márquez. In this
poem speaks to Pablo Neruda which a girl in love.
The architecture is also considered an expression of
art. The Eiffel Tower is a steel structure located in
Paris, which remains a monumental construction signal
wrought iron. The French civil engineer Alexandre
Gustave Eiffel designed it for the Paris Universal
Exhibition of 1889.
Currently the vision of art has changed, the old formulas based on creating art or
beauty in imitation of nature have become obsolete, and today the art is a
44
dynamic quality, in constant transformation, also immersed in the media
communication.

The Bolivian government and much of the countries in the region believe that
the United States was behind the refusal to grant over flight and aircraft
operations to Morales to three weeks ago.
Morales was questioned about Bolivia's position regarding the possible
expulsion of the ambassadors of France, Portugal, Italy and Spain, the countries
involved in the kidnapping called air, a proposed social organizations that make

Bodyworks among others.

  • 4. 4 1. INTRODUCTION Currently English is of paramount importance in all areas of knowledge and global development, especially in the career of foreign trade, since the context is often used in English, thus is necessary know, how to identify the meaning and definition of each word. Be noted that with the passage of time the application of English is more common, since it is used by all mankind. The English has become the global language of communication par excellence, and allows us to understand and facilitates negotiations with people from other countries Moreover, the phenomenon of globalization has contributed greatly to make the English is the most important language and necessary today, which is being treated as the language of the dominant countries in the world (especially the U.S. and Britain). So today is essential training in English proficiency not only labor issues (have a good level of English is undoubtedly a good gateway to better job positions) but also to communicate in order to access more knowledge and information, to be updated. So study the English language is essential to communicate globally so we can then identify the importance of applying this particular language learn grammar rules, as is the proper use of the present, past and future. As the implementation of the conditional, modal, the passive, the causative, reported speech, among other issues that were applied in this module.
  • 5. 5 2. FREELANCE WORKS 2.1. TOPIC: PROBLEMS IN THE WORLD (12/04/2013) 2.1.1. CHILD LABOR Today, many children work. Nearly 215 million of children work in the world. They don't go to school and don't time for play. Many children work because don't have for feeding. They don't have the opportunity to be children, because have to work for bring money to home. Many children have to work in dangerous places, causing accidents and the death of the children. The child labor is very bad, then, in our country is controlled the child labor. 2.1.2. POLLUTION The pollution is a problem in the world, because the people contaminate the air with the smoke of their cars and factories, causing global warming. Also the people destroy the nature and contaminate the water of the rivers and of the waterfalls. In developed countries there is more pollution, because there are more cars and factories.
  • 6. 6 2.1.3. POVERTY The poverty is to problem in the world, because the families don't have money. Also there families very poor who don't have house and live in streets The poverty is caused by the lack of work in the countries; causing families don't have access to the food, the basic services and the education. The poverty is more evident in underdeveloped countries. 2.1.4. ABORTION IN ADOLESCENTS Abortion in adolescents is a problem in the girls who do not want to be mothers at a young age. • 38. 38 3.2. TOPIC: NANOTECHNOLOGY AND CANCER Cancer is a very complicated disease. Nobody is quite sure what causes it, but it happens when some cells in your body go haywire and grow out of control. Not all cancers are alike, some are on the skin and others are located deep within the body. The first challenge is actually finding the cancer. Can nanotechnology help us? Sure. Another reader wanted to know about how nanotechnology would impact cancer. What is important about treating cancer? Finding where the cancer is in the body and then sending powerful medicines only to where the cancer is located. The first challenge is finding the cancer. You want to find it when it is really small, before it gets too big. X-rays don’t do a good job because they only work with things like bones. Other ways of looking inside the body can work but you need to label the cancer cells so that you can see them. Quantum dots (shown right) are one way to label cells. They are really small, around five nanometers in size and because they are really tiny they can make it through the body to the cancer. If you want something to go through the blood stream to all parts of the body, they need to be really small. The tiny capillaries that delivery food and oxygen throughout your body become really narrow, only a few thousand nanometers in diameter. Once the quantum
  • 39. 39 dots reach the cancer a special kind of light is used, infrared light that can penetrate deep into the body. The quantum dots glow and you can see them with a special camera Once you figure out where the cancer is, nanotechnology can also be used to treat it. Nanotechnology can make tiny particles, only a few nanometers in size that can reach the cancer. Scientists have shown that things like carbon nanotubes and small particles of gold can be delivered to the cancer. Once they are there, you can again use special kinds of light to heat up the nanotubes or the particles of gold. Turns out that cancer cells explode when you heat them up and if you can heat only the cancer cells up and not the healthy tissue around it, you can treat cancer. Most of this stuff is still experimental but progress is being made.
