This personal presentation describes my journey and the lessons I´ve learned along the way that have shaped who I am and who I´m becoming.

1. My story & the

learned…
• I´m Martina, a girl born and raised in
Ecuador who grew up in an incredible
family that taught her the #1 lesson
she lives by: navigate life with kindness,
gratitude and love.

2. My family is
my compass
• From them I´ve learned the values that
represent me the best such as: empathy,
resilience and teamwork.
• My biggest inspiration is my father who has
always worked towards his dreams even in
the face of difficulties showing me how
important it is to never give up.
• He has always told me, "whatever it is that
you decide to do, do it with passion,
determination, and courage." These words
have stayed with me and continue to guide
me.

3. • I once heard, "the best way of learning is by teaching,"
and I discovered this to be true when I became a teacher.
• My students have taught me to see the world through
their eyes: outside the box, with creativity, and without
judgment, open to explore and learn from the world
around me. But most importantly, they have taught me to
be true to myself.

4. The hardest lesson in my life
had an amazing outcome…
• I have always had a drive to help others, and when I overcame my own struggles with an eating
disorder, I was determined to turn that difficult experience into something positive by using all
that I had learned.
• I dedicated myself to studying and became a certified Health Coach, and through my platform
@martinahealthyeats, I have been able to share my tips and expertise on healing one's
relationship with food and exercise, along with providing nourishing recipe ideas. I have
collaborated with over 20 local food brands, gyms and yoga studios, been invited to speak on
podcasts about my story, and supported other girls on their recovery journey.
• Additionally, I have also hosted cooking workshops with over 30 clients, helping them to
improve their relationship with food and live healthier lives.

5. Falling in love
with excersice
taught me…
• Discipline is key in life & discipline beats talent.
• I have set and achieved my goals keeping in
mind that no matter how hard something might
seem, every expert was a beginner once. I have a
passion for learning new things, for taking
challenges and finding my way through them
with perseverance & resilience.

6. Traveling has
taught me…
The power of stepping out of my comfort zone and embracing new experiences. It has opened my eyes
to new perspectives, cultures, and ways of life. It has also enabled me to build meaningful relationships
and connections making me uncover new passions and interests. Through travel, I have come to
understand the importance of embracing new experiences and challenging myself to grow.

8. Why do I fit
IE?
• I am a person that believes anything is possible, a
dreamer & hard worker hoping to be a life-long learner.
• I am excited to pursue my Masters Degree in a program
that I have been passionate about for years, and I am
committed to making the most of this opportunity by
using the skills and knowledge I have acquired through
my journey.
