The Extreme History Project and Museum of the Rockies are hosting a bus tour along the Madison River to learn about the history and archaeology of the area. The day-long tour will include visits to tipi ring sites, the Missouri Headwaters State Park for lunch and activities, the Madison Buffalo Jump, and artifacts at the Museum of the Rockies. Experts will provide information and discussions at each stop about early Crow lifeways, archaeology of tipi rings, historic cooking, flint knapping, atlatl throwing, and the history of the buffalo jump site.
