An indefinite pronoun is a pronoun that does not
refer to a specific person, place, thing or idea
Some indefinite pronouns are compound nouns
of some-, any-, no- and every-
People                           Things
    Places
   some-    someone /somebody     something              somewhere


   any-      anyone /anybody        anything              anywhere


   no-        no one /nobody         nothing              nowhere

   every-   everyone /everybody   everything            everywhere
SOME- Affirmative sentences and questions (when
  they are requests or offers)
e.g. Someone was sitting on the sofa
ANY- Negative (with a negative verb) and interrogative
  sentences
e.g. The police couldn’t find her anywhere?/Is there
  anything to eat?
NO- Affirmative sentences with a negative meaning
e.g. Nobody was at home when I called/There’s nothing
  we can do.
EVERY- Affirmative sentences and questions
e.g. Her mother looked for her everywhere?/Is everything
  all right?
There is someone / anyone in my house.
    someone
There is anything / nothing in the fridge.
    nothing
Can I tell you something / nothing?
     something
He gave me anything /everything I asked for.
    everything
No one / Anyone came to visit her.
    no one
Anybody / Somebody called me yesterday.
    somebody
Did you go anywhere / nowhere last weekend?
     anywhere
I have looked somewhere / everywhere for my pen.
     everywhere
