2. Subject Overview
The subject ICT S113 focuses on the general information about the computing
industry and field. It also includes several topics in hardware and software that are
fundamental to the students who will take computer related programs. By
understanding this subject, you will learn the different things about the
development of computers, computer hardware, netiquette and cybersecurity.
Introduction to software such web designing is appended to help students develop
their creativity.

3. Subject Requirements
Attendance (10%)
Students must reply “Present” to the attendance announcement in canvas every meeting.
Attendance is graded and can be viewed in the Roll Coll Attendance.
● Students are encouraged to participate in the online discussions since that will serve
also as their attendance in Canvas.
● Recitation during video conferencing is also graded;

4. Quizzes (10%)
● Summative tests will be given through canvas. Students should answer the items
within the given schedule. There will be two (2) summative quizzes every term.

5. Learning Tasks (20%) & Performance Tasks (20%)
● Students are required to submit at least two (2) learning tasks and one (1) project
every term. Learning tasks or projects should be submitted on or before the given
deadline. Requirements will be submitted through Canvas. Failing to comply will
greatly affect the student’s classwork grade.

6. Examination (40%)
● Major examinations should be taken by the students in the Canvas. Remember that
every exam is 40% of the students’ term grade.
● If there will be an instance where the major exam will be an output, the student has
to submit it on or before the deadline. Failure to comply will result to a score of 0.
