In Prehistory we have to differenciate two
periods. The Paleolithic and the Neolithic.
This picture is from the Paleolithic, when people
were NOMADS. They had to move from one
place to another looking for food.

Neolithic. People learned agriculture
and how to raise animals, so they
created the first communities.

ANCIENT HISTORY.

CIVILIZATIONS.
23. GREEKS AND ROMANS
They were two very important civilizations.
Greeks invented government and democracy. They also developed
culture, philosophy and religion. Their language was the Greek.
Romans were very good arquitects. As their empire was so extended,
they built roads from Rome to everywhere else in Europe. They also
built public buildings, such as aqueducts, theatres, public baths,
etc… Their language was the Latin.

29. AFTER THIS PERIOD COMES THE….
MIDDLE AGES
It was a period of castles, kings, nobles, knights,
peasants, wars and barbarians. Everything which Greeks
and Romans invented dissapeared. A new system of life
was created, THE FEUDALISM.

36. AFTER THIS PERIOD COMES THE…
MODERN AGE
This was a period of new inventions and discoveries. The
most important are the invention of the carabel, a big boat
to travel further. With this invention, Christopher Columbus
discovered America. Another great invention was the
Printing Press. People could write books faster, so the firt
libraries were created. This fact developed more culture.

42. AND FINALLY COMES THE…
CONTEMPORARY AGE.
There were two very important revolutions in this period.
The French Revolution changed the way of thinking.
With the invention of the Steam Engine, the Industrial
Revolution appeared. Production became bigger and
everybody moved from the countryside to the cities to work
at factories.
