RECOMMENDATION FOR MARCIA STOUDEMIRE LEE - Chrissy Calhoun
1. RECOMMENDATION FOR MARCIA STOUDEMIRE LEE
Date: June 20, 2015
Dear Sir or Madam:
I am writing this letter in enthusiastic support of Marcia Stoudemire Lee. I have gotten to
know Ms. Lee over the past two years, as a student in my Legal Studies courses. In this capacity,
I have been most impressed with Ms. Lee’s talents, and I am confident that she will be an
exceptional asset to your company.
In the Legal Studies field, Ms. Lee stood out, early in the course, as an unusually articulate
and perceptive participant in class discussion. Repeatedly, she was the student who raised the
serious and challenging issues that pushed the dialogue to a more reflective and perceptive level.
Her written work in the course, simply confirmed what her class participation had already
evidenced – that she was a student with exceptional insight and analytic skill – while also
demonstrating the clarity and cogence of her prose style. Ms. Lee was one of the strongest
students in a strong class, and a review of her academic record reveals that her performance in
the Legal Studies field impeccable. Intellectually, she is clearly an asset.
Her talents, however, do not end there. Ms. Lee is also a person of unusual energy, maturity,
and interpersonal skill. In her years at South University-Montgomery, she has been inducted to
the LEX Honor Society, a chair member of the ProBono Club, graduated Magna Cum Laude
with a 3.75 GPA. She has also achieved the honor of becoming published. Her essay, in English
Composition II, was chosen and published by Ms. Christensen, professor at South University-
Montgomery. This is some evidence of how she is perceived, and her performances is testament
to her character. She has also been on the President’s and Dean’s Lists on numerous occasions.
Ms. Lee has tackled her responsibilities with spirit and sophistication, interacting with both
students and faculty in an effective, responsible manner. She is evidently a person with
substantial experience functioning in the professional world, and it has been a pleasure working
with her.
In short, I recommend Ms. Lee to you strongly and without reservation. She will be a
wonderful addition to your company. If I can be of any further assistance in your review of her
application, please feel free to contact me at chrissy.calhoun@gmail.com.
Sincerely,
Chrissy Calhoun
