4. The 2 primary ways to build your list,
grow your site valuation, and increase
revenue of your deal site are:
1. Drive more traffic to your site.
2. Increase opt-in conversion rate.
5. The easiest and most effective
way is by increasing the rate at
which your visitors come to your
website and opt-in to receive
deals, coupons, and updates.
12. Patch 3: Social Media Icon Integration
Have them linked on your footer…
13. How to connect your social media:
• Login to your website with your admin or merchant credentials. Once
logged in select management from the bottom.
• Select “Settings” >> “Site Settings,” and proceed to input the full URL (with
http://) in the text boxes for your Facebook page, Twitter page, & LinkedIn
page.
• We live in a social world. FB has over 1Billion users. Utilizing these 3rd
parties to grow your audience is incredibly powerful and important.
• A new study conducted by Constant Contact and Chadwick Martin Bailey
has revealed that word-of-mouth is crucial for the success of small retailers
using daily deals. The study has thrown light on consumer behavior in
relationship to daily deals. Here at Daily Deal Builder, we have continually
been huge proponents of User Generated Recommendations. User
generated recommendations and word of mouth advertising is the most
powerful from of advertising that any company can utilize. Read More.
15. How to run shipped or downloaded offers:
• Login to your website with your admin or merchant credentials. Once
logged in select management from the bottom.
• Select “Create New Offer” and proceed to choose whether or not your
product is shipped, downloadable, or a coupon.
• Shipped: Select this option if you are offering a product that will be shipped
and does not require a coupon to be generated. After the promotion ends,
simply export the orders CSV file and deliver it to whomever will be fulfilling
the orders.
• Downloadable: Choose this option if you are promoting a product from a
company that can be accessed online. After selecting, you are asked to
input the private download URL or membership area URL.
• Coupon: Selecting this option will enable the system to automatically
generate and deliver the coupon with secret key to the customer. It will
email the coupon to the customer as well as add it inside their Account
information.
17. How to use the non-profit plug-in
• Login to your website with your admin or merchant credentials. Once
logged in select management from the bottom.
• Select “Settings” >> “Non-Profits.”
• Input and order the non-profits, charities, or schools you wish to support.
Once saved, new users are required to select which non-profit that they
want to be associated with.
• The remaining activity of that user on your site is associated with their
selected choice. When user orders, the non-profit selection is associated
with their offer.
• Export your order CSV files and sort the orders by the non-profit column.
• How much, when, and how you pay out or donate to the non-profit is
entirely up to you. Stay organized by importing this information into a
company shared document (such as a Google Drive Spreadsheet).
18. Why Cause Marketing?
• Once you are successfully set up, you will want to update your About Us
page and company information to help ensure your customers realize your
causes.
• People enjoy buying from companies that are running operations for a
“greater good.”
• There are a wide variety of causes, charities, and non-profits out there and
many businesses use their Cause Marketing relationship as one of their
USPs (Unique Selling Points), because the businesses who are doing it
“right”, also see huge benefits and larger bottom lines.
• Companies can easily connect with others who are like minded and share
the same passions. They become aligned with well known, loyal brands.
Build compassionate customers who see beyond their products and
services and share their vision. Their employees are more likely to be loyal
and proud of their positions. There are potential tax benefits, the company
becomes more “news worthy”, and customers are more likely to share
information about the company with their friends.
20. How to use the free offer plug-in
• Login to your website with your admin or merchant credentials. Once
logged in select management from the bottom.
• Select “Create New Offer.”
• Select the “Click for free offer” radio box.
• In order for a user to download and redeem they are required to be a
registered member of your site. As such, running free offer promotions is a
brilliant way to gain new users, while simultaneously helping merchants.
• Scoutmob has set themselves apart from their competitors because their
model has one, simple difference from the industry leaders like Groupon or
Living Social; their coupons are FREE.
• You can charge merchants for every coupon that is downloaded and / or
redeemed. Example: $1 per downloaded voucher and $1 per redeemed
voucher.
22. How to use the copy offer plug-in
• Login to your website with your admin or merchant credentials.
Once logged in select management from the bottom.
• Select “Successful Offers” or “Failed Offers”
• Select the “Copy” option by the offer you wish to copy.
• We recommending analyzing the offer that you are copying and
optimizing it by updating certain components such as the
headline or actual offer structure.
• When you promote a successful offer on your website, you will
want to replicate the success between once a month and once a
quarter (this fully depends on the business and offering).
• Plan in advance with merchant the ability to re-promote the offer
in the future.
24. How to use the multiple price points
• Login to your website with your admin or merchant credentials.
Once logged in select management from the bottom.
• Select “Create New Offer”
• Add multiple price points and titles to your offer. This is a great
way to add additional packages that someone can choose from
immediately before buying.
• Example:
Option 1: 1 Hour Massage + Spa Therapy for 50% Off - $128
Option 2: Best Deal* 3, 60 Min Massages for 65% Off - $240
Option 3: 1, 30 Minute Massage for 35% Off - $95
25. Crafting Your Deals
• 1. “The Bundle”
• The bundle is where you combine two or more of a business’
products or services as a bundle and offer a discount on it.
Typically the business will not offer this bundle to the general
public.
• Examples are limitless, however a few are…
• Buy one ticket to Symphony Orchestra on __/__/__ and get
another ticket for the __/__/__ show.
• Get a full meal for the price of a burger.
• Running a daily deal on pizza? Why not offer a bundle package to
include salad and a coke? Running a travel deal? Why not work
to include airfare and a car rental? Often times it’s easier for a
business to increase the value of the offering without taking as
much of a hit if they can bundle 2 or more of their products or
services together.
26. Crafting Your Deals
• 2. The Complimentary Bundle
• Work with two similar / complementary businesses to offer a
package deal that includes services or products from two separate
businesses. Some examples include:
• Running a travel deal? Why not work to include airfare and a car
rental?
• Running a deal on your hotel? Why not include nightlife passes to
the nearest attraction?
• Dinner and a Movie
• GA. Aquarium tickets & World of Coke combo pass
• Iphone and iphone speakers
• Dinner at a restaurant and ice cream at ice cream parlor across
street
27. Crafting Your Deals
• 3. “The Special”
• The special is where a business makes a unique offering on their
services specifically designed for the deal site. Often times, this
special is not available to the general public.
• 2 for 1 Valentines day pre-fixed dinner
• Laser Hair removal – Large, Medium, Small…
• Choice of appetizer, entrée, and desert from special menu.
• Software purchase with 1 year free hosting.
28. Crafting Your Deals
• “The Standard Deal”
• The standard daily deal is where a business follows the usual
route of offering 50%-90% off one of their products and services.
• Many businesses simply can’t afford to run a standard daily deal,
however if they were to bundle products together or create a
“special” specifically designed for the deal site, they might be able
to make it work.
• You can use multiple price points with the standard deal.
29. Patch 7: Incentives and Credits Upgrade
• The patch 7 incentive upgrade allows you to do a couple things. You could
set the incentive as "Incentive Based" or "referral based":
• Incentive type: Incentive Based
"This allows you to give incentives to your users for buying things.
Example, if you set purchase amount to 100.00 and incentive amount to
10.00, for every $100 a user orders from your website, they are credited
$10.00."
• Incentive type: Referral Based
"This allows you to reward your users for referring their friends.
Example, if you set referral number to 1 and incentive amount to 5, when
someone refers a friend and they buy 1 offer, they are credited $5 in their
account."
35. These upgrades will increase your optin
and sales conversion rates!
• No action required on your end.
• After choosing what you want to implement on your
website and pushing the order through. Send us an email
and we will manually install and activate them on your
deal site.
• We have invested tens of thousands of dollars into
creating these upgrades for you, but wanted to make it as
easy and cost-effective as possible for you.
