The student leadership club at Glencairn Elementary School started a project to build a library for their community as there was no library and the schools lacked an information center, leaving special needs children feeling left out. They have collected books and are reusing old toys, with underprivileged, poor, and sick children using the new library. Beyond providing reading materials, the library also offers free medical treatment, support for older community members, and a weekly clinic. Future plans include adding IT facilities and more books and comfortable seating.
