2. All cards and number of relay are removed.
In place a single micro controller based
control system is provided, which is basically
a maintenance free system. All loco
parameters are also recorded, which can be
downloaded for better analysis of loco health
as well as failure analysis.
3. Normal Woodward governor is replaced by
micro control based governor, for better
synchronising with MEP and reduction in fuel
consumption.
4. Alco 350C TSC is replaced by ABB TSC (Model
VTC 214), which has improved BAP and
reduced exhaust gas temperature.
5. For better scavenging and improving the loco
health, fuel oil consumption is also reduced.
6. All scattered braking valves are provided at
one place. Piping is also eliminated in tri
plate panel as all pipes are replaced and
connection are made internally inside plate.
8. 165/165M type Traction motor is replaced by
4907 type Traction motor. Roller suspension
bearings are provided in place of plain
suspension bearing having better life and
eliminating frequent topping of oil in
suspension bearing. Availability of loco is
increased as loco not required for 2 month
for oil topping.
10. Gear case capacity is increased from 6 kg to
9 kg, eliminating frequent topping of oil in
gear case. Availability of loco is increased as
loco not required for 2 month for oil topping.
11. Conventional oil bath air filtration system is
replaced by inertial air filtration system.
12. DC fuel pump motor, crankcase motor &
cyclonic blower motor are replaced by AC
motors
13. Conventional float type water level indicator
is replaced by electronic water level
indicator. Loco pilot can watch water level in
loco inside cabin. He has not to go to out
sided to see water level. Failure due to
puncturing of float is also eliminated.
15. Ergonomic control desk with stick type
master controller are provided in place of
normal controller with high height desk,
improving better coordination between loco
pilot and assistant loco pilot.
16. Auto creep is provided to run the loco at
constant speed if required
