EXT. SCHOOL ENTRANCE - MORNING
It is Lauren's first day at Merriweather Acadamy and she's
wandering down the path towards the front entrance that is
looming overhead. There is nobody around other than her
because she is running late
LAUREN
(excitedly)
I'm so excited to start college
Lauren starts levitating and the wispy clouds start pulling
her along the path
LAUREN
(thoughtful and giggly)
(Lauren looks over her shoulder)
Finally, I can fly now that nobody
is around
Lauren swirls her finger around and clouds fly around and
above her. She drops to the floor quickly when she hears
people chattering in the distance.
The sky turns dark and the atmosphere turns somber. Lauren
is concerned and begins to run into the entrance just as it
starts to pour with rain
INT. SCHOOL ENTRANCE
LAUREN
(confused)
Well that was weird..
Lauren walks over to reception to talk to somebody at the
office in the background. A boy cuts across the shot,
walking, with the camera following her and down the corridor
towards the canteen
SAM
(wandering slowly, taking
in his surroundings)
This place sucks. I feel like I
should just run back through those
gates.
Sam walks by a window and stops. He looks at a group of
boulders and his eyes turn green. They crack and crumble and
the ground starts to shake. Sam falls into the lockers and
screaming comes from the canteen. Sam looks towards to
canteen in horror, his eyes still bright green. He clenches

his fists and they turn into rocks. He punches the wall and
leaves a huge hole. Sam runs back the way he came, making
the ground shake with every step because of his
superstrength.
EXT. SCHOOL ENTRANCE
Milly walks towards the entrance of Merriweather Academy,
stumbling as the ground is still shaking slightly and the
sky is still dark and gloomy. She looks confused as Sam
sprints past, brushing against her and knocking her over.
She pulls herself up, angry, and turns red all over because
of her power of Fire. As Milly starts to walk, she holds out
her hands and cup them, slowly clenching them into fists and
making fire balls shoot out of them.
MILLY
(annoyed)
Stupid nerds.
INT. STAIRWAY
Kate rushes up the stairs, carrying books in one hand and
her bag in the other. Running along the corridor and into
the toilets, she dumps her stuff on the floor and rests her
hands on the edges of the sink, looking down.
KATE
I am not ready to be normal.
She blinks and the tap turns on, blinks again and it freezes
in time. Kate looks up and stares intently at her reflection
in the mirror.
KATE
(stressed)
Come on Kate, sort yourself out.
Just be normal. Nobody knows about
your past.
Kate pulls at her cheeks, nose, mouth.
KATE
Why do I look like a normal person,
but inside I'm really some insane
freak who always bottles everything
up?
