In the preliminary task, the author had a limited role of pressing play and drawing a storyboard. However, in the main task the author switched groups and took on a larger role, playing two characters and helping with sounds, editing, and creating an intro using new software. The author gained experience taking on more responsibilities and learning new skills in the main task compared to the preliminary task.

1. Looking at your preliminary task
what do you feel you have learnt
in the progression from it to the
main task?

2. In my preliminary task I didn’t have any main part in it other than
pressing the play button on the camera and drawing the storyboard for
my group.

3. However in my main task, I moved groups as my previous group was
getting rather large resulting in some of us leaving the group. The only
other person I really knew in my class at the time was Sid and she was
sat in a pair with another girl called Amy. So I asked to see if I could join
their group. This is my new group that I have become really
good friends with

4. I was much, much happier in this group as I was able to have a bigger
part to play in our thriller. I was two of the characters in the thriller I
worked with Sid on the sounds and the editing. And even got to make
the Indent at the start of our thriller. It took a while! As I’d never used
the program before and the tutorial on you tube I was using was for an
out dated version therefore the steps didn't always work. So I had to
improvise and I think it worked quite well.
