These toxic chemicals can sometimes have irreversible damage that affect the child’s normal development process with regards to proper development of organs and brain function. From the ages of 0-2 months old a child are expected to have develop motor skills that would include the ability to recognize different colors and shapes, kicking waving, have the ability to recognize familiar voices and their sleeping patterns would change, meaning that as they grow older children should be sleeping a little longer than a new born baby. Children from the ages of 2 months old should be able to extend their arm and reach and pick up toys and other objects, hand coordination by shifting objects from one hand to another. The child should be able to pick up finger food and bring it to their mouths. Identifying a problem with a child is when they are not able to perform these age appropriate task. However, armed with minimal sources of information, the creators of the documentary set to answer tricky questions on a topic where most people have failed. Several accounts on Andalusia, modern-day Spain, confirm that the region was vastly abundant in diverse ways ranging from natural resources to other essentials that were prominent for prosperity (Shamice 129). Peter would come to class, ask everyone to close their books and ask us to write what was on our thoughts even though it was ridiculous which would then discuss as a class. One of his major lessons was learning to write based on feelings as a way of being truthful to oneself and aiding the reader to form a connection. Most teachers want to come to class, give assignments and wait for the time to lapse especially at the beginning of an academic year. However, this was not the case for Peter who would use any available chance to counsel us on what to expect in college and how to cope. In BC’s nearly-decade-old “new” curriculum, the curricular competencies describe the processes that students are expected to develop in areas of learning such as mathematics. They reflect the “Do” in the “Know-Do-Understand” model. Under the “Communicating” header falls the curricular competency “Explain and justify mathematical ideas and decisions.” Note that it contains two processes: “Explain mathematical ideas” and “Justify mathematical decisions.” I have broken it down into its separate parts in order to understand--or reveal--its meaning. The first part is commonplace in classrooms. By now, BC math teachers—and students—understand that “Explain mathematical ideas” means more than “Show your work.” Teachers consistently ask “What did you do?” and “How do you know?” This process is about retelling, not just of steps but of thinking. The second part happens less frequently. Think back to the last time that you observed a student make—a necessary precursor to justify—a mathematical decision. “Justify” is about defending. Like “explain,” it involves reasoning; unlike “explain,” it also involves opinion and debate. In order to reinterpret the curricular competency “Explain and justify mathematical ideas and decisions,” I will continue to take apart its constituent part “Justify mathematical decisions” and carefully examine the term “mathematical decisions.” What, exactly, is a “mathematical decision”? Below, I will categorize answers to this question. These categories, and the provided examples, may help to suggest new opportunities for students to justify.

These include behaviors, stories, rituals (everyday practices that are repeated frequently), and symbols (e.g., company logos, company colors). For example, the president of a company volunteering at Habitat for Humanity is an artifact of culture. An example of symbols as an artifact of culture is Ashford University’s shield that serves as our logo and is printed on transcripts, diplomas and letterhead paper. Submit a two- to three-page paper (excluding the title and reference pages) describing the culture of either your current or past place of employment. Your paper should provide examples of and address each of the following topics: Observable artifacts Espoused values (These are what organizational members say they value, like ethical practice.) Enacted values (These are reflected in the way individuals actually behave.) In addition, describe how each item listed above impacts the values and culture of the organization. Your paper must use a minimum of two scholarly sources, in addition to the textbook. Your paper must also follow the APA Style guide.
