China’s population is five times more than
the US and only has 500,000 people in
prison

South Carolina, and Oklahoma have more
people in prison for life compared to other
states

5. US Federal Prison Population
• Ramzi Yousef is serving a life sentence
for masterminding the 1993 attack on
the World Trade Center.
• Bernie Madoff is serving over a years in
prison for his involvement in the world’s
worst financial scheme in US History
• Ted Kaczysnki, better known as the
Unabomber, is serving a life sentence
for a mail bombing spree that lasted
more than 20 years.
