1. When I moved To Brighton
By: Lauren Martin
When I first saw Brighton I thought it was
Extraordinary, until I heard about School!! First of
all I was afraid that nobody would like me. When I
first walked in the two big doors with my mom I
thought “this is the biggest school ever!” We found
my new teachers room. “My name is Mrs. Gosselin”
she told my mom. This nice guy introduced me to
the school. Ii thought who is this nice person? Then
he said ”I’M Mr. Yates the principle”.
HE WAS SO NICE TO ME AND NEW EVERYBODYS
NAMES IN THE SCHOOL! HE made me feel a little
better about my frustration. Mrs. Gosselin came
and found me a seat in a pale purple warn out
chair. I was so sad because so far I didn’t have any
friends besides my teacher.
A bunch of kids came up to me while I was staring
out the window sadly and asked me some
questions. One girl asked” where are you from?”
Another asked me “what’s your favorite color”. I
answered” purple”.
It was time for recess and I had all the girls in the
class following me outside introducing me to new
things I hadn’t seen before on a playground. Like
my friend Paige, showed me the tire tower for
example. It was time to go in and almost time to go
home.
It was time to go home so my mom picked me up
from school and said “Let’s go to the Dairy Queen”.
I’m proud of you. When we got to the Dairy Queen
she asked me” How was your day”? I said
2. “Perfect.” with a smile on my face. I will never
forget the time I moved to Hawkins Elementary.
