My current role is in the Natural Gas industry, with one of the mayor companies in the country. In
this project I lead, as a Big Data architect, a small group of developers using the tool Splunk
creating a series of dashboards to monitor their business through the analysis of big
quantities of data (2-5 gigabytes of logs every day). My role consisted of choosing this tool
for the client, creating the architecture necessary to keep up with the amount of data necessary
for the creation of the dashboards, making sure the high availability of the data and the platform
itself by creating a cluster with replication factor, helping the IT department with the installation,
tuning and configuration of the cluster instances and leading the development of the dashboards.

My first project as a Big Data architect, during this time I helped a team of other three consultants
finish the deployment and management of a Big Data ecosystem in a leading bank in Spain
(Bankia). The project consisted in the configuration of a big cluster using Hadoop and the rest
of tools integrated in a Cloudera solution, managed with Cloudera Navigator. The tasks I was
able to do during this time where: tuning the connection pool, resource management, create and
deply to repository servers for Python and R developers to work with.
