Traditional classroom vs. SCL classroom
TRADITIONAL CLASSROOM
Advantages and Disadvantages:
- The teacher is the one who controls the classroom activities through lecture presentation and teacher-
led discussions.
-Mostly,the learners are only depending on what the teacher is discussing or simply stare away in lack of
attention.
-They are passive.
-It is more affordable and applicable than SCL classroom.
-No technology can replace the ability of a man/teacher.
-It takes a lot of time and effort in lesson presentation and class management.
-The teacher has to also manage the behavior in class.
SCL CLASSROOM
Advantages and Disadvantages:
-More effective than traditional classroom.
-The learners are active participants.
-It develop the students to be independent learners.
-It develops discovery learning.
-It is very costly.
-It is not applicable and affordable to those slow-learners and poor students.
-It creates greater manpower.
-It saves time and effort.
