Eyebeam Digital Day Camp 2011 Curriculum
During Eyebeam Art + Technology Digital Day Camp 2011, twenty NYC teens spent three weeks working under the
guidance of a team of creative mentors to produce a series of deep, media-rich stories
about our NYC neighborhoods. Their stories became part of a web-based, interactive
map that included photographs, drawings, videos, music, games, words, infographics,
etc — limited only by imagination.

Transportation: Introduction to Transportation Engineering; Traffic and Road Safety: Types and Characteristics of Various Modes of Transportation; Various Road Traffic Signs, Causes of Accidents and Road Safety Measures.

Environmental Engineering: Environmental Pollution, Environmental Acts and Regulations, Functional Concepts of Ecology, Basics of Species, Biodiversity, Ecosystem, Hydrological Cycle; Chemical Cycles: Carbon, Nitrogen & Phosphorus; Energy Flow in Ecosystems.
Water Pollution: Water Quality standards, Introduction to Treatment & Disposal of Waste Water. Reuse and Saving of Water, Rain Water Harvesting. - 6. We will then travel across the Atlantic Ocean and Europe to Italy, settling in on Vinci, Italy and locate this birth place and reason for his last name.
- 7. We will discuss a broader view of the globe to allow students to see where Italy sits in relation to Africa, Germany and other countries.
